    I have an Olympus OMD 60mm lens. Is there an adapter I can purchase that will fit? Advice was given that a 47mm should fit. I think not. I really need help with this. I Loved your video .

      The Olympus 60mm lens has a 46mm filter thread. If you search up "46mm step ring" on Google you should be able to adapt it to a larger size of your choice that is included in the kit.

    Can I use this mount ring while I have a filter in camera?

    Hello, excelent video. Can you use it on a 24mm Obiectiv or will the light be visible when recording. The 24mm lens I have is wide. I have got a Sony FE 24mm Obiectiv Foto Mirrorless F1.4 GM. I am more intrested in video recording indoor in certain positions where light does not get from the other lights I use. Thank you in advance and I forgot to say, I appreciate your work, I got inspired from it to buy some lights for my studio.

    Not sure but it’s my gut feel they didn’t include the 82mm adapter ring because the native thread size on the light is 82mm and doesn’t require an adapter for 82mm filter threads

    What sort of runtime are you getting with the VB26 battery vs rechargeables? My current rechargeable AAs aren't up to the task (at all!) so now I have to decide between buying high capacity replacements that I can use with other equipment, or spending another NZD$100 on a proprietary battery and charger.

      Just got mine and am finding the same trouble. What batteries did you use in the end, and how did they perform? Thanks, Dustin!

    • @dustinedmundson
      @dustinedmundson 6 місяців тому

      @@tanyabarnett7123 I ended up getting a set of 4 Panasonic Eneloop Pro AAs and a charger for a decent price. I've used the batteries quite a lot (with another Godox flash unit that I subsequently bought) in the meantime, and they still have plenty of capacity to run the ring light almost two years later.

      If the 24-70mm Sigma lens has an 82mm filter thread unfortunately there are no adapters included.

    • @hypop
      @hypop  Рік тому +1

      Hi there, the Godox Ring72 is a continuous light so it can be used for any camera that has the correct lens filter sizes to be mounted. If you were looking at a ring flash you'll be looking at the Godox MF-R76.

    The ring flash I'm looking at has 8 adapters ranging from 49 to 77mm, but I don't know if one of those adapters will fit the Nikon AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85mm F3.5G ED VR macro lens well, so I don't know whether to buy the ring flash or not. I have seen that apparently no ring flashes come with adapter sizes below 49mm or above 77mm. How can I know if I actually will have the necessary adapter if I just go and buy that flash ring?

    • @hypop
      @hypop  Рік тому

      Hi sfrerku, the easiest way to find out your lens thread diameter is by looking at the inside of the lens cap. We don't own that lens here but according to product pages online, that lens should have a 52mm thread filter. If that is indeed the case, then the RING72 comes with 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 67mm, 72mm & 77mm adapters which means it will be able to be mounted on lenses with those thread diameters.

    How close can you get with this thing and have it remain useful? I am trying to do macro photography with a lens that has a 4.3 inch or so working distance and I'm wondering if this would produce usable light for me.

    • @dustinedmundson
      @dustinedmundson 2 роки тому

      You'll be fine - my lens minimum working distance is 5cm (~2") and it's still acceptable, though it'd be better if I didn't have to use an additional 49-46mm adaptor ring.

    Is it as bright as a ring flash? With it being always on it seems like it's a lot dimmer than a ring flash

    • @hypop
      @hypop  2 роки тому

      Definitely not as bright as a ring flash simply because it's a continuous light. The burst of flash from a fresnel flash head is typically stronger

    • @joehardcastle1056
      @joehardcastle1056 Рік тому

      Bought it last week and just realised the best way to take it off... place your thumb into the front, so that it pushes onto the ring (just at side of lens glass) whilst lifting the ring flash unit from behind. Don't know if I've explained it well, but you will be able to take it off without worrying about breaking it etc.

    It's a review, but it would have been better if you shot macro photography. First, I feel like "unboxing" videos generally means you haven't used it for 6 months and figured out the pro's and con's of this product. Second, the video didn't compare it to other competitive options. Third, your macro shot comparison was rather useless. No one would use a "no light" condition. It would have been better to compare to some other common external light source. Also, anyone shooting that image would have used a slider and focal stacked the image. Even the post-processing of that macro shot was really amateur. This review basically says, "Here's a light that goes on your camera." Beyond that, there's really not much value here.
