Can I take that hook off and use it the bait for practice will it run the same with out the hook ?
I cut the hook below the barb instead of taking it off. This way is still runs in true form.
What conditions and times of year do you have the most confidence in these big baits?
Pre spawn, spawn, and post are all the best time for big swim baits in my opinion. They will work other times of the year, but typically not as well as spring.
Have you thrown the 8 inch cull?
I have. If you’re looking for big fish only it is the way to go, but I have caught some 2# and 3# fish on it. For tournaments I like sticking to the 6” mostly.
