Lots of great information in your vids. Having two ready makes a lot of sense. By the way, at one point, you described the stabilizer you use for your 360 to your trolling motor, but I forgot. Please let me know what you're using. Thank you
Thanks for the comment. I’m using the big rig bassin mount. It’s more of a convenience to be able to remove 360 when not needed than being a stabilizing mount, but it is a great mount nonetheless. The stabilizing mounts typically mount down the shaft to the trolling motor. I do not have that.
I understand that you want a reel that cast very well but the zenon reel is not built for heavy jerks. The revo reels is much more suitable for that. A revo rocket or revo sx rocket for example.
@@JustinLucasFishing they took away that Revo AL-F, which at the time they said could throw light finesse applications, which proved true! it was my favorite Revo for the price with how light and small it was. What did they replace that reel with? Do you have to bite the bullet and grab a zenon x now? the veritas winch rod you’re using I love for a squarebill and throwing dimes! I run the dime 6-10 on that, along with frittside bigguns/frittside 9s, and squarebulls 5.5-7.5. It’s the perfect rod for it! Also an OG slim 6 and a KVD2.5 is amazing on that rod with a Revo STX 6.8:1 (don’t tell Dan!)
I’ve been using a spinning reel for my jerk baits and braid line, medium rod spent abit on the rod, drag is my only thought to keep ‘em hooked, will it be any better if I switch over my setup?
I can get it down to 5’-6’ on a long cast but anymore it’s more important to keep it above their heads than anything else. That’s one thing livescope has definitely taught us.
Lots of good info
Thank you!
Thanks Justin
Yes sir!

Lucas, your Chinese big fan is here.
I like your simple approach. You don't try to say you need 10 rods and high end stuff to fish jerkbaits. Good video and good message.
Appreciate you leaving a comment! Thank you!

Dude, the 6’ 10” winch, with a Revo AL-F 8:1….my goodness what a jerkbait set up that is. That’s my jam!
Yeah that’s a nice set up man!

Sound advice !!!!!!!

I personally like a bait cast much better for jerkbaits. I don’t use the drag much. I will open spool and thumb the line if they are running hard.
Wow 15lb that sounds crazy unless you want it to stay high. What kind of depth are you keeping it in?

I’d go 6’6” medium then
