Occurrence of natural cataclysms during the whole history of Earth's geological development was not the same as periods of relative stability would alternate with periods of maximum activity.
In recent years, the number and energy of natural cataclysms have risen sharply. Expert estimates of natural disaster dynamics by IPСС UNO, IC GCGE GEOCHANGE and other international bodies reveal the persisting tendency of the number and energy of the natural cataclysms caused by anthropogenic and natural factors to grow.
Humanity ought to find methods and ways of consolidating efforts to jointly confront natural cataclysms, adopt new international regulations, establish additional bodies to effectively manage emergency situations and develop procedures on formation of special financial foundations and justified distribution of financial resources in disaster-stricken areas.
Efficient planning of the world's financial system largely depends on correct assessment of the tendencies of global environmental change and possible scale of natural cataclysms in the near future.
THIS WORLD FORUM'S MISSION is to bring together leading scientists, experts, representatives of international organizations and governments, members of parliaments and other legislative bodies from different countries to develop a plan of joint actions and the basics of an international program for reducing risks and mitigating negative consequences of natural cataclysms.
