Oberhasli Goat Kids Are Here!!!

Exciting news for the farm!! Two of our ADGA Oberhasli does kidded without any issues and gave us four fantastic Oberhasli kids! Come out to the barn with us today to meet our new herd additions! In Switzerland we call the Oberhasli also known as the Brienzer Oberhasli or the Gemsfabrig Gebirgsziege, the last one is a collective name because in Switzerland there used to be many very similar colored breeds over a 100 years ago.

I think this is the prettiest breed. Do I have a chance of finding small adult oberhaslis? I saw one adult and she was rather large, too large for me. I need as a pet and a companion to my other (mixed) goat.

Yes there are some “mini” Oberhaslis out there. They are probably not true Oberhaslis but if that’s what you’re looking for there are people that cross them with small breeds
