Small thing guys, at 19:39 you say that boat's been there for a long time because the cover's all messed up; that's not true. A lot of people kind of underestimate the Mistral that blows through frequently; 40kt+ winds, and if your cover game isn't really strong, you'll have a ripped and torn cover within the month. If not a few weeks - the wind really is that strong. Bimini's, solar panels, and other things go flying from time to time.

@@sailingpilots go to the back end of the west park, it's where they park all the actually abandoned and otherwise "wrecked" vessels :) There's a few things there that could be saved!
It gets tiring walking around huge yards like those you could do with a couple of bicycles 😂.... There's a a small channel called the sailing Yourshire man he's been trying to find a free boat but he's in a nearby Calanque and all the boats are on the water .. So that means at least they are afloat. The racer you started with is a bonkers prospect given that monster keel ...you would barely get within a KM of shore in many places and you would be snagging nets lines and floating objects half of your days sailing. Great fun looking but you are now coming into the sailing and working weather... The only other option is take a trip out to Carricou and see all the salvaged hurricane boats that have had to be moved and probably got caught without insurance. Lots of monohulls got toppled on ground others got stacked up on the mangroves and or sunk ..including a beautiful Spirit Yatch.
Our boat will be much smaller than the racer and of course we are looking for one that is already floating. We have an old BMW 735i "The Transporter" to drive around but unfortunately we were not allowed to drive inside the boatyard with that great car. So we walked LOL
great episode, what a good laugh. Keep us updated, Ciao.
Thanks a lot , we will do our very best also in the future LOL

That car next to the bear boat would be easier to fix... cheaper too.
Right some 5200 and lots of epoxy and it will float LOL
there are two sides to Navy service you only wandered around the EAST side???
We had only one day there, but will be back again soon for the other side to walk and search there.
@@sailingpilots OK thanks for your answer
