Incredible that such a world-class content is available for free. Thank you!
Omg. Ikr. How much is Stanford. 100k? Atleast? Sure we don't live next to Peter Thiels but damn. This is priceless
When I asked:
- "Where should I start?"
My grandmother used to say:
- "From the end..."
Thank you. Really a great lecture.
Learning :
- It's really a long & difficult road to go ahead once you start.
- Execution is more important than idea alone which seems very true to me.
- Focus more on active customers who is using it and delight them for a long run retention.
- For more ideas, pay attention to other people.
- Don't take metrics very easy & lightly and most of the bigger decisions are taken from there only.
- Keep iterating your product as quickly as possible.
- Keep an eagle eye on competitors & market to act quickly and efficiently.
I love the honest approach to Slack's "success" and how Stewart, better than most, understand that there are many more forces outside of our control than within our control. #humility

Confront the brutal facts but be confident you will prevail in the end. Jim Collins calls this the Stockdale Paradox in his book Good to Great.

The irony here is that the YC Startup school isn't using Slack for communications between teams...

Joanna Wang I'm pretty sure you can find them on the startup school website

He doesn't have time.

can we get access to the slides?
Hi Vivek, I believe there are links to transcripts and slides for most of these presentations in our Startup School account.

Funny how tiktok was a huge part of my idea.. i just didnt think it would be made in app form...
I wanted a harry potter style of journal moving picture mixed with gif
Whrn i discovered gif existed.... I WAS GOING CRAZY THINKING WHY PICTURES STILL EXIST gifs are insanepy superior.. the amounth of micro details that can be chosen in a mov8ng picture... nothing in pictures... like old dead loved ones pictures on your counter... that can move just enought to see their tics movements attitude .. so many details
Just feels insulting to see pictures instead of moving ones even if its just a couple seconds 1 or 2 3 seconds is enuf
How can we measure these post-GDPR? What proportion of users are opting out of "measurement" cookies and data uses? If it's high, then we don't have great numbers anymore, and need to rely on "statistical analysis" with the non-random sample of remaining "opt in" users
