If she wasnt so hard-headed by putting hayley in danger in the first place, she would have never been captured, and elijah's involvement would never have happened so technically hayley's death is hope's fault however you wanna twist it.

She gets her mercy from her moms side of the family, and got her will power from her and the heir to be the crescent alpha. She got her witch/wolf/vampirism, her badass attitude, her anger, abandonment issues, art, surprisingly enough the actress has his eyes and she got her mikealson pride from both Hayley and Klaus
I don’t like what the writers have turned the family into. The people who sacrificed so much for Hope are strangers to her now. Always and forever destroyed.

I agree. We barely see any scenes with Behka or Kol with Hope as a teen. Even in Legacies they make it seems as if Behka and Freya fell off the face of the earth.

It's insane what they did to Elijah and Hope's relationship when in season 4 they were aware of each other and hope cared for her uncle. The writers completely destroyed their relationship.
I read somewhere the writers didn't want to "undermine" Klaus' role as father by giving Elijah any scenes with Hope - that's why we didn't get any scenes with them in Season 4. So instead of writing something clever that sets up their relationship as a loving and mutually-respectful uncle-and-niece, with Elijah as potential ally when Klaus gets overbearing or Hayley is (understandably) strict about Hope helping a teen commit suicide, for example, we instead get Elijah's character assassination!
@@mellowenglishgal exactly. The only reason they made elijah look bad or his character bad was cuz they didn’t want to overshadow Klaus and Hopes relationship. But they literally could’ve done so much more where elijah and Klaus both could’ve been the good guys. But again they didn’t want to overshadow Klaus like they didn’t want to overshadow Damon so they ruined both Stefan and Elijahs character to make the bad brother look good and the good brother bad. I’ll never forgive them for that. They are also trying to make Hopes character bad like they did with Stefan and elijah.
@@sahebafakhri4715 I disagree. I just watched the seasons of The Originals again and noticed a change that goes unnoticed. There was a very important change in Elijah's personality when Esther kidnaps and tortures him, then he loses control, he is reckless, self-centered, with bad manners, treacherous. While Klaus is gaining control thanks to fatherhood, Elijah is losing it. In season 3 he constantly despises Marcel, although he always helps him, he is capable of killing Davina for the sake of his family, he is capable of killing Marcel for the same, knowing that he is like a son to Klaus. Totally out of control you see, Klaus has to sacrifice himself to save his family because of Elijah's mistakes. In season 4, Klaus is even more serene and calm thanks to his daughter, he does not want fights at home, nor bloodshed, nor deaths, instead Elijah goes to more and kills 4 girls in a ritual, and if he doesn't stopped he would have kill another 4 children of Hope's age. Even Hayley seeing this part of Elijah wants him away and out of Hope's life. I feel that for a thousand years Elijah's purpose was to seek the redemption of his brother, and when he finally succeeds, he loses his way. In the end he only has to die.
So right, the ruin the better guys (Stefan/Elijah) and use them as a stepping stone for the bad guys(Damon/Klaus) some sh*t@@sahebafakhri4715

When they give us the back story about the pit, it was said that 3 supernatural beings (a witch, a werewolf and a vampire) spill they blood together to created the pit.The point is the pit just had to come in contact with Hope's blood.

Poor Elijah… after 4 years I’m rewatching all the episodes, and he was the first one ever to care for Hayley and Hope. It hurts to see Hope treat him like this after Hayley’s death. Elijah truly loved Hayley and family was and always will be his no.1 priority💔
They never made it a point to tell Hope that for a while Elijah was the only one who fought for her. He gave her the name Hope. She was his whole world.
I don't know why so many people are hating Hope, she was young when the hollow came. And for Elijah I don't feel sorry for him at all. He saw Roman holding Hope, but he intentionally refused to save Hayley.

It wasn't his fault that he got his mind taken over and some other folk showed up and put false stories in it. He fell in love again rather it was real or fake he at the time fell in love with someone else.
Hope is blaming everyone for her mother's death. While she was the main reason for it
She’s still a child. She blames herself the most, which is why she was getting so angry. But to be honest, Elijah has a chance to save her and didn’t. Granted, he didn’t know who she was really, he didn’t know she was the mother of his niece or the woman he really loved. But for Hope, that’s not really gonna matter, because she just lost her mother and Elijah could’ve saved her. 😢

Hope's never been held accountable for her part in Hayley's death (just like Klaus was never held accountable for his brother's death and for murdering their mother, and lying about it for a thousand years to control his siblings). She actually used magic to attack her own mother to get what she wanted - Klaus back in town! Everything that happened after occurred because she made Hayley vulnerable to Klaus' enemies, and I hate that they've demonised Elijah as if it was his fault.
@@mellowenglishgal the CW has a habbit of not acknolwedging main characters or their immediate family(parents or kids) when they do something wrong yet when a secondary character does the same they are demonized all season and have to have a redemption arc...
OMG THANK YOU!! People always blame Elijah when they knew what happened to him and how he wasn’t himeself. They made him forget about family and who he was, but Hope started the whole thing. For people saying that she was young and didn’t know any better she did know she was 14 at the times and knew about her family’s enemies. She was so stupid and she was the reason for Hayleys death

Elijah didn't have his memory and they knew that, he wasn't responsible for what happened, that was all on Hope.

Hope is equal to blame with elijah for Hayley death. Though this is what he does, lets down the woman he care for in tragic ways.
I’m disappointed in Legacies. I wanted to love it. I’m realizing it’s meant to be for a new audience. However they poorly cater to new audiences and the original ones. I find myself only enjoying moments that harken back to TVD or OG’s. They have a “monster of the week” type of set up but it’s cringey most of the time. It’d be fine if the monsters had a story arc or a reason to be around, but it seems like they are around so we can see different ways that Hope can jump in the air or walk in slow motion. I hope they refocus the show to give it the same feel the series before it had. Hope is Klaus Mikelson’s daughter yet it feels like her relationship with Landon means the most to her. I think it’d be interesting if Klaus’ enemies targeted her because of her heritage and power. The characters used to be dynamic in how they were written where if I were to watch it now, it’s timeless. Legacies feels like it’s trying too hard to fit into current trends. I would really like to speak to someone who started with Legacies to see how they feel about the show.
I grew up the normal way, i started with VD, then Originals...I saw trailers and clips of legacies and i decided it just wasnt for me. Struggled to watch the first episode. Hated how everything was Hope centred, and honestly Alaric kind of pisses me off by openly favouring her despite his daughter's concerns ...
Fast foward a year later and i have literally nothing else to watch, so...i give legacies a 4th chance and power through that 1st episode, honestly by the 3rd i was hooked.
I think those of us that started all the way at VD got a little old and now to us Legacies just looked like a bunch of whiny teenagers.
We forgot that Caroline used to be as dramatic as Lizzie, that we were annoyed that it was always about Elena like its always about hope, and that Bonnie used to be the dependable one that everyone took for granted like Josie.
We grew with VD, the characters developed, the storylines got stronger.
I think with our prejudice out the way we can really get to enjoy Legacies. Its actually really good
Oh and everytime i feel nagged that its always about Hope and her cool powers saving the day, i also remember shes Klaus's daughter. She better be INsanse, and she better be the centre of attention.
I started with Legacies . Honestly I didn't watch TVD cause I thought it was boring. But legacies made me watch originals , then some of TVD. But I like how it's centred on hope
I started with legacies and like the answer before me I can't go past the first few episode of TVD. The monsters of the week thing in legacies is actually what kept me hooked because instead of staying on the same story arc for years the characters get to develop themselves with mini stories whom are part of a bigger plan. The character development and relationship are almost all interesting and seeing people changing with each episode is something that really amazed me. Another thing is the fact that the more the series progress, the more I don't feel like it centers only around Hope. I mean yes she is a big part of the plot but I can honestly say I get almost as much emotions and storytime on the others than on hope.
I started with tvd way back in 2009, and so far I actually like legacies the best of the three shows. I like it's tone, how it doesn't treat its characters as expendable, and it's focus on character over plot (like lizzie's mental illness, hope's depression, etc.) It does have a story arc for the monsters, it's just that it's a mystery and the audience are in the dark for the first five episodes.

Its sad how the only Mikaelson family she has left that was there for her is freya and Rebekkah..
At times I really hated how the Mikaelson’s treated Freya, mostly how Klaus treated her but sometimes Elijah wasn’t better. Rebekah was the only person who treated her like family from the start even Mikael was better to her than Elijah was at first. Kol and Freya were probably the most sibling like. They bonded over memories together even though they didn’t know that they were related (Even joked about how they almost pulled a Luke and leia) they also argued when they disagreed with each other and even when Kol was mad at her for sacrificing Davina, he still had her back.

Everyone seem to forget the fact Elijah asked that Wizard Sorcerer to make him forget his loyalty Devotion to his brother Klaus so he could not try to stop Klaus from destroying himself. In the end it was that act alone that destroyed his desire to want save anyone he previously loved he was truly a monster to his own family with the absence of emotions towards them.
Julie Plec needs to answer for her crimes.
Can't stand Hope's attitude. It's easier to blame Elijah, who fought with the others, than to acknowledge that Hayley's death was a direct result of Hope using magic against her own mother to imprison her (to get what she wanted), leaving Hayley vulnerable to Klaus' enemies, resulting in her torture and death to protect Hope... But, blame Elijah, sure.

So I’m gonna admit, I don’t care how much he loves Hope or loved Hayley, I’m angry too, still. Like I blame him and I know someone’s gonna say he was under a spell, but I don’t care.
