I hate that Hope was so loved and cherished, people layed down their lives to protect her in The Originals, but in legacies she's all alone. I get that the issue is with actors (they have moved on to other things), but Hope is anything but an orphan: She has her family, the New Orleans Coven and The Cresent wolf pack, she should not be facing everything alone.
It'd be really nice if Hope needed something like an ancient dark object or to track someone but in Europe and they didnt have time. Everyone being like: what are we gonna do? And Hope would say: I know someone who can help and calls marcek

The issue is with the actors and how th creators wish to handle the show. Most of the actors are doing other things and the creator do not want to make Originals 2.0, they want to focus on the younger generations (a stupid move mind you). But it doesn't work, because in one show they were "we will always be there for you Hope" and in the next one "All alone..."
I know a lot of people hated Marcel (which I never understood why) but his relationship with Hope is pure, is love. The fact that the foundation of their bond was through Klaus.
I think it’s because he stood up to the Mikaelsons and held them accountable for their actions. But idk I’ve always loved Marcel, he’s one of my favorite characters in TVDU. And I love the brother/sister relationship between him and Hope. I really hope we see Marcel in Legacies at some point and not for just a few minutes like we did with Freya.
Marcel was his father’s child! He was raised by the brothers and he was the best of both of them and also had some of their negative traits. He knew his father (Klaus) would never kill him. Klaus had whole monologues about who and what image he created in Marcel. He was also proud of Marcel and by extension admired much about him.
What why? I loved marcel he was bad ass and finally at the end he earned their respect bec he showed them he was done being talked to him like shitbwhen Marcel knew everything in that city he was 1 of my fav characters .Marcel , Haley, Klaus,Greta , davina , jack, Joshua, Elijah . Hope I liked them all but Marcel and Haley I loved
I didn't really hate him, it just annoyed me that Marcel tried to act like he was the king when Klaus first came back to Orleans and that's how i feel towards anyone who steps to the Originals when they know how strong they are.
I wish there was more shown about how much Marcel actually cared about Hope. But maybe these little moments were enough. He so needs to appear at least once on Legacies though even if its just once. Some big entrance to help and show that no one messes with Hope then left that would be fine. But it needs to happen at least once.
Why does Hope act like she has no family in Legacies when Marcel, Rebekah, and Kol are all alive? Like do they except us to believe that Marcel wouldn’t come pick her up for every school break.
Its crazy, they did such a good job casting her (looks alone) she looks EXACTLY as if Joseph and Phoebe had a baby. A great mixture not to mention the characteristics. Her dad’s rage and her mother’s mercy

I really wish we could've had more bonding with these two. As well as these two plus Klaus. It would've been really nice to get to see Klaus being happy with his two kids and just being a family. Of course, adding in the rest of the Mikaelsons too. But there was so much potential for the three of them to have some pretty amazing moments. :(

At the beginning of the series marcel seemed a bit cocky, but then as the show progressed he became one of the best characters in the entire franchise in my opinion.

It’s 5x13, when Elijah is telling Klaus that he’s going to die by his side. Klaus asks Elijah “What about Hope?” And Elijah says “ She’ll have Marcel, and Rebekah, And Freya. I even looked Kol in the eye and I told him if he doesn’t look after her I’ll come back and haunt him.”
