Thank you as always from this old RENegade. Raye is relatively new to me, but WOW!!! Another independent UK artist bursting with talent and charisma. I see people have suggested ''Oscar winning tears'' live from RAH. It's a must brother. Love and peace ☮
Raye was held back by her record label for 7 years.. she was made to write songs for many other famous people (Beyoncé, John Legend, etc) but was never allowed to release an album. She finally went independent and released her first album without a label. She won 6 Brits for that album. She doesn’t have nearly enough views or subs. Doing my best to spread the word. ❤❤❤❤
@ReactADHD Try Beth Hart she's also incredible, one of my favourite tracks is the live versions of Sugar Shack, any around the 8 or 9 minute mark are excellent or her versions of classic Led Zeppelin tracks are also amazing
I’ve had UA-cam for years and never actually bothered to get an account but had to when I seen your vid to just subscribe. So refreshing to see such a refreshing reaction video! I seen you only just started!! Can’t wait to see more bro, deffo the kind of person I’d like to watch again and again. Loved the energy. Buzzing for you that you’ve found somit you’ll smash x
@ really nice to see such natural venerability. Sometimes it takes it out of you feeling the way you do then you see someone with that same reaction and think I wouldn’t change it for the world. Needed that, so thank you
@ artist suggestion is Louis dunford. My music taste comes from my dads love for the mod scene. First song I’ve showed him that we both loved and related to about a classic old british boozer 😂 he’s a storyteller ua-cam.com/video/CVNXvAKXd7E/v-deo.htmlsi=QGrsTTI0EAB8iv6G
@ my dad then sent me another song of his called “hello depression” and we both related for the first time ever. This song is so worth a listen even if not for a reaction
I love your reactions because the emotions you show us make your vulnerability accessible. You wear your empathy on your sleeve and it's lovely to see. You are intelligent and genuine. So glad I found your channel. 😊
She is amazing, you should check out the live performance of her song “Oscar winning tears” in the Royal Albert Hall, as well as her Brit awards live performance, I was speechless!
I clicked this expecting Ren's Genesis. I just assumed you made a typo in the title since I'd never heard of Raye. I had to go to her page and listen to it on my own first. WOW! This is quite the track! I immediately sent it to my 3 kids, who are all in their 20s.
Amazing reaction 😊 I'm so happy that you have discovered Raye!! You will absolutely love the rest of her work! I knew of her when she was a feature on dance music back in the day (like that Jax Jones you don't know me song). She has a really poignant story - she was signed to Polydor label in 2014 but they didn't allow her to release any music and only allowed her to be featured on dance singles. She's a very successful songwriter and has written for so many big names. Her label took advantage of this when she was signed to them. She also enjoys production and is a really great musician and talented vocalist. She finally reached breaking point and went independent a few years ago and has since thrived 😊 Her album is incredible - she shines a light on important topics (substance abuse, sexual assault, body dysmorphia, mental health and the environment). Her writing is creative, lyrically magic and so raw in her emotions. She is so passionate about her craft and you really feel that. She crosses over many different genres and nails all of them. She did a documentary with Louis Theroux which was a very good watch. I think it would really resonate with you. All of her live performances are stunning and she is very creative with the different musical arrangements of her material 😊 She's like if Amy Winehouse and Ren had a baby 🎉
I'm so glad you shared this amazing insight! Raye's artistry deserves all the recognition, and your passion for her work shines through. Thank you for the recommendation!
Thank you for introducing me to this beautiful song i hadnt heard of 🙏 somehow the topics, creativeness, smoothness, talent etc reminded me of Ren 😅 did you know Ren too has a song called Genesis? Would be fun to see that too, i love it too ❤
she deserves everything and more. being stuck in a label she couldn't release an album for years. left, funding herself fully now. won so many brits, finally getting her flowers and just got her first two grammy nominations!!!! so extremely proud of her
I had to take a dive into her channel. She’s amazing, not entirely my style of music so I probably wouldn’t listen outside of YT, but her live performances wow. I realised I know one of her older tunes, Rudimental-Regardless which I like. Subscribed though
There is a BTS video with knox hill on money game 3 well worth watching it is a couple of hours long but worth it! Brilliant insight into the genius that is Ren and Sam
This was such a beautiful reaction. I'd really recommend checking out her whole album 'My 21st Century Blues', I think you'd really love it. She's best known for her song 'Escapism' so you may recognise that. Would love for you to react to more Raye!
Loved finding this video/your channel; I also have ADHD so it was nice/interesting to find a music reaction channel with that referenced openly? Especially since I understbad the connections this can have with the kinds of problems Raye addresses (which is why I'll take a second to congratulate you on the amazing achievement and ongoing effort of bring so long sober; I appreciate how difficult that must have been/can be!). I discovered Raye first at a Lewis Capaldi concert just before sge released her debut album and she left such an impression. If you would like to check more of her stuff out then short performances people are recommending that I'll second are her Brit Awards Medley (where she teased Genesis before its release) abd the osxar winning tears at royal albert hall performance (its wow, a great display of how much this woman truly /loves/music and what shes doing), but personally I think that actually an whole album listening party/reaction is worth doing because her devit album is so good in general! It really does embody the sentiment if its title 21st Century Blues, but with great musical variety :)
This was incredible guys!! Hit me VERY hard!
Please watch her performing Oscar winning tears at the Royal Albert Hall! She’s with massive Orchestra and it’s phenomenal!
Gonna watch the Louis Theroux interview first in private time!
Glad you have discovered Raye! Check out her "Oscar Winning Tears" live from the Royal Albert Hall next. Its amazing
I will have to!! Absolutely amaazing

RAYE is very special
OMG YES!
This was fantastic! I love discovering a "new to me" artist. Great reaction.
🎷🤘💃
Glad you enjoyed! I never would have expected to find someone I actually think is fresh, has a message and different outside of Ren. Faith restored.
This is mine first theme listening to Raye - great song, video and reaction!
Honestly, she is up there!
Raye was held back by her record label for 7 years.. she was made to write songs for many other famous people (Beyoncé, John Legend, etc) but was never allowed to release an album.

My first time hearing this artist, she's amazing
Mine too! Honestly this is why I started the channel, to expand my musical horizons and wow! REN and RAYE.... Imagine a collab!

Absolutely! she is a diamond find in my opinion!
Half way through I had to pause your video and share Raye with my youngest daughter Rae. Thanks!
That is awesome! so cool!

oh not heard this before, defo Amy Winehouse vibes and for that I'm in
I know the business inside and out, and this girl was so fvcked by the industry, like many before her, and many yet to come.
This is very powerful, are you able to put links to original artists UA-cam accounts in your blurb? Or have you already done this and I missed it?

She is also just now a featured artist on my page.
