Dr. Andrew Kolodny: Integrating Addiction Treatment into Primary Care (9/22/2016)

Dr. Andrew Kolodny outlines the challenges and rewards of including addiction treatment in primary care, as well as the success of using buprenorphine both as a treatment for chronic pain and as medication-assisted addiction treatment. Kolodny is the founder of Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing, and chief medical officer of Phoenix House, a leading nonprofit addiction treatment provider. He spoke at the CHCF-supported Opioid Safety Convening in Oakland, California, in September 2016.
