- Tennessee Volunteers were carried by their stars as Admiral Schofield had a strong 21 points, Grant Williams (20 points) came up clutch in the end with two big 3-pointers, and Jordan Bone (18) who hit the free throws to close out the game in a 82-78 win over the Kentucky Wildcats.

A team full of student athletes vs one of the 1 n done schools like Duke. Vols have more heart and if the rules allowed players to go from high school to the NBA the college game would be a lot more even and just better imo. What a game for the Vols though, it was hell watching that one.

No, if anything college is better because NBA just sucks now. Players go to the NBA and become primadonas . There is zero defense. This year it seems every team has somebody who puts up at least 40 points a week. everyone is soft, there are no more tough guys in the NBA. Rules changes are partly to blame but it has more to do with the type of generation these NBA players belong to. They are all snowflakes.

Great game by both teams. It's sad there had to be a loser BUT I'm glad it was the Wildcats. Given the black cloud that has settled in over the VOLS football program these past few years, It gives us hope to see a Tennessee team in the winners circle for a change. Very proud of the team and coach for their effort and dedication. by the way, My boss is from Kentucky and a HUGE wildcat Basketball fan, so odds are we are all gonna have a bad week at work, lol. (but the win is worth it), lol.

Even though Kentucky has lost 2 of 3 i would be extremely confident in the tourney if I was a Kentucky fan. They lost to seniors with more late game experience. Cats just got their experience and will learn from it. I expect a deep run in the tourney especially since the times they didn’t win the sec championship it was 2012 where they won it all and 2014 where they were runner ups

Man I remember this game, Everytime KY would pull a lead Tennessee would answer with a 3 and then hit their free throws. Both teams were the top 2 in the SEC that year an even though KY lost it was 1 of the best games I've ever seen. Cal has to get it together man, Rick Barnes has had his # lately.

We're not a blue blood program. We just play hard, a lot of those guys were 3 star players. We got some good ones this year though, Barnes starting to get some 5 stars coming here. We look a lot better than Kentucky. I wouldn't say it hurts that bad. Probably would hurt more if we were a blue blood program like Kentucky and yet can barely win a game. But our team is looking like a team that's going to go far this year, maybe final four.
