Never played any of the Final Fantasy games, but boy I do be vibing to tracks such as this. Nobuo Uematsu is epic as all hell when it comes to video game composing.
I love everything about the Jenova Project, it is such a quintessential sci-fi element in a game and series that is largely fantasy based and this theme really ties it all together

i may not be a big ff7, nor will i ever be... but this track is quite meaningful and stands out. it's also quite poetic that we get a battle with this VERY same music right after a little shall we say...."kabab altar incident"..... the pieces are really connected after all...
The only time this theme doesn't play while fighting Jenova is during the battle with Jenova•LIFE. To add insult to injury with Aerith's death, her theme plays in this song's place. Jenova•SYNTHESIS gets a separate theme, so it doesn't count
In the Beginning Part I Thinking Jenova has shown up with his Eeriness and Monstrosity moments Towards Cloud and his Companions She intention to brainwashed Cloud to kill the Cetras and Who's someone's stop him But in other Part Cloud is overpowered to defeat Jenova

I remember back in like 1998 when this game was new this song rocked my socks off. There was nothing like this before, this went super hard.
This track perfectly captures alien origin of Jenova.
Something futuristic, unusual, dangerous, something from outer space.
The hours spent in game listening to this during fights is remembered.

I’ll never forget this song playing while descending into the earth in the original FFVII game. Every battle along the way down had so much urgency.

Personally I rate JENOVA as a better boss theme than OWA. I live both for different reasons but this has the edge for me.
