SYNOPSIS:
In the final phases of Emperor Justinian's Renavtio Imperii, the Eastern Roman Empire grows to the largest size it will ever see. The road to this achievement, however, brings misery not just to the enemies of the Byzantine Empire, but to the people of the empire itself.

A very, very big thank you to you both. This was one of the best serie here on yt.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing work. Love this series on Byzantium. Its one of the most intriguing periods in history by far. Thanks for all the hard work putting these together!
Hey my pleasure !
@@FlashPointHx In other words you are the "Karim De La Karim" in Turkish.
I just recently was recommended this channel by the algorithm and I binge watched the whole series. BRAVO! Such a fantastic work, thank you....
Really happy that you liked my videos so much!
How much history could have changed had Belisarius gotten a little more help… and better luck, on top of his already generous luck pool
Fantastic series, Robin is an amazing orator

Can’t wait until you guys do a video on history of the English Monarchy. Been praying 🙏 each day for that notification
Ayy lets goo. Definitely my favorite UA-cam series.
Nice Kaz - always love to see your comments too
Justinian acted like I do in EU4. Well in attempted conquests and resulting overextension. Your getting closer to the rise of Islam, my favorite part of this podcast. Thanks for bringing it to a new audience.
Its all about the conquest
I love that we're like 12 hours in and yet only 60 years into the byzantine empire. Is there another Playlist with parts 22 through 350?
I have a series called " The Conquest and Fall of Constantinople" which picks up with Emperor Heraclius to 1204. You can also download at the Audio only podcast ' The History of Byzantium" which has 250+ episodes.
Believe me the feeling at last about Justinian's death felt emotional... I still remember when i watched his beginning on the channel .. feels sad to say bye to him
I feel you friend - it was hard coming up with a cinematic to portray someone I’ve been creating videos about for a year now. I was depressing for me too to let him go
@@FlashPointHx "An epic story must end for another epic story to begin"
The part where Justinian realized he couldn’t reconquer any more old roman territories due to the lack of manpower, money, and his age, is somewhat sad. This was one of his main goals in his reign. He felt he had divine sanction to do so. To come so damn close to obtaining that goal, only to be stopped short, while at the same time living long enough to realize he would never obtain that goal. I wonder what he felt when he finally came to that realization that there would be no further reconquest.
So insightful!! Yes he knew that time had caught up to him and that there was nothing left of the empire. He had reached his high water mark. I wonder if we all can be so graceful with that recognization?
Your film is a real masterpiece! Thanx a lot and please continue!
Thank you! Will do!
The Italians could not catch a break now can they? Imagine being ruled by Goths, then by Eastern Romans then by Goths again, surviving famine and plague, then for the Romans to return, then for the Franks to pillage your home and then for the Lombards to rule over you.
Thanks for this video, I am going to enjoy this. I am so glad this channel exists. Cheers to you and your team.
Thank you so much Baddy!
A great great series I just love Belisarius it's a crying shame how Justinian treated him but one thing I got to give Justin credit for is his activeness he was up and active. he did his worse tried his best. He is a lot better than a lot of emperors who came before and after him in my eyes.
I like how no matter the situation he arose to the occasion
@@FlashPointHx and to live at a very very ripe age and reign for so long.
He did something about everything for sure, but he has some huge blind spots
I agree with that 200% and even one could argue he did more harm than good but I feel like everyone should give the man credit.
Really enjoying this series! Very indepth ! Thank u !!
Glad you enjoy it!
Quality content. History channel wishes it could be this good again
Glad you enjoy it!
The History Channel was once good?
I really enjoyed this series. Thank you for this🙂
Glad you enjoyed it!
So sounds like Byzantine emperors acted not too different from their counterparts in China, especially in the area of becoming increasingly paranoid 🤒🤒
Wait till you get to guys like Andronicus
Great vol8 is out! sure gonna enjoy this thanks FPH!
Enjoy K ! We being Justinian to a close in this one
Indeed!
Awesome video as always - cant wait for the next one!
Next is the finale
@@FlashPointHx cannot wait! - since I started make my own videos, I have such heightened level of respect/appreciation for the content you produce. Seriously world class.
Just subcribed love the channel, Blessed Be.
Thanks!
Hey thank you so much Vildan
This is a pretty amazing series. You could really do this and all the emperors and I’m sure the views will be pretty high and give you years of content literally.
As always great vid!
Thanks again!
Wonderful work as usual! The history from this period is surprisingly fascinating. And it is presented so well here. Thank you for this content.
What is your source for background music?
I use a bunch of different sources - is there a Time stamp you have in mind?
@@FlashPointHx I was interested in whatever is playing around 18:20. Thanks!
Thanks you much
Welcome
Justinian definitely let his paranoia rule his life in his later years and the Empire by extension. Especially considering how shut-in he was, he practically never left Constantinople..maybe anti social idk. Anyway Wonder what Belisarius could have done with the Byzantium Empire, restoration of the whole of the Empire!
This is cool. I hope you delve a bit more into the early Slavs of this period. I don't think they get enough attention.
Really love your vibe maybe you could also do Persian history
Good Stuff
Thanks!
bravo!
Prefect title
hahah - thanks !
I like this voice actor

I really like your videos, do you make your own animations/thumbnails. Would you ever make a video on the Median empire
I do make my own animations and thumbnails - I think the next project will be the Mughals
You guys need to make a couple vids a week … you’re to good to be hobbling along
hahaha - I'm a one man show - this is the fastest I can go
Nice it actually appeared in my notifications for once.
That’s good to hear - hopefully YT has upgraded its notification system

I missed your voice:))))
I'm still doing video too =)
83 …
gotta say Justinian should be known throughout history as The Great(asshole). really... Belisarius should have been born a few centuries later, maybe then he would have been appreciated more, or even be emperor.
hahaha - but how do you really feel =)
Byzantine armor looks like that Mongolian golden armor wore by Mongol Generals and Warlords in Ghost of Tsushima...They even wear Purple silk clothing beneath The Golden armor...probably traded with the Byzantines during their conquest.
Goes to Show how Mongolian Invasion hundreds of years later somehow connected the Byzantine Empire all in the western point and the Japanese Shogunate in the east...all connected by a singular body of state.
Just check it out, it's eerily similar.
Dunno about anyone else but I'd be having second thoughts about joining a military campaign led by someone who was well known for having no balls.

Yes it appears that the 'lack of a sack' did not interfere with Nazis ability to achieve a victory
Is not that i dont like the narration , but i miss the original.
I'll be back - this is a side series =)
@@FlashPointHx who wrote this side-series?
The more I hear about Justinian, the less I respect him.
Glad you’re seeing past the propaganda. Belisaurius is FINALLY getting respect lol
He was a saint to some and a villain to many more
For me it's the opposite. At times he's an asshole, but in a position of such power and pressure he's done very well to keep his shit together in a period of deep crisis.
His Micromanagement bought the Empire some well needed time
WHAT RESPECT? I HAVE NONE !
Ignore this comment as this is a personal msg for someone
Good night 🌙 i love u so much 💚🖤
Ohhh I can't fucking wait for my boy Khalid to show up. I know I know we're a 100 years away, whatever, you can't stop me from being excited.

@@FlashPointHx Oh hey, are you not gonna do Byzantium past Heraclius? I've seen that video and while it's nice, your style has evolved a lot in the last 5 years, so I was looking forward to seeing a new look.
