Okay, I think I may have found a NEW FAVORITE FOUNDATION for MATURE SKIN. I finally got a sample set of the new formulation of the Koh Gen Aqua Foundation and have sort of fallen in love with it. I had a bottle of the old version which I thought was pretty darn wonderful but this is even better. To the point that I am actually going to purchase a FULL bottle.
I would love to hear if you have tried this new formulation and your thoughts on it!
FOR REFERENCE- My skin type is mature, dry, rosacea prone. I am 50 years old and my issues are hyperpigmentation, keeping rosacea at bay, and general anti-aging.

I just ordered few days ago - same shade - and I have been so nervous waiting for the package ( I used the 123 in the old formula ) and worried the new formula might be too yellow, different etc Thanks to your video I am confident it’s going to be fine. Oh no! Sorry, Cwyn. I will see if I can do better focusing. I had a helper focusing for me and thought it would be better. LOL! I will work on it. I liked the old formula too, but this new one is pretty darn good! xoxo
I think the foundation is an excellent colour match for you.
It looks very 'skin like' and didn't oxidise.
Thanks for swatching - in the UK we can't get samples and don't have such a relaxed returns policy that you enjoy in the US so if we order it we're suck with it.

I love this foundation. I saw that their makeup artists like mixing with their Moisture foundation, so I tried it and it’s perfect for when you want a little more coverage. Color 123 looks like your perfect winter shade! Very beautiful!-Heather Xo!

I’m still looking for the perfect foundation and I’ve ordered my samples. I’ve also heard that it’s better to color match to the neck because our faces pull so much red to the surface, it distorts our perception of what a true match is. Hope this helps!

Great video! I just started using the Koh Gen Do Moisture foundation (the one in the red tube). It’s great for dry skin, and I think it has a little more coverage than their Aqua foundation. The finish is lovely and somewhat dewy.

I just ordered this foundation in both the Aqua & Moisture formulations. I bought 113 in Aqua & 123 in the Moisture. I think 113 is a bit too light but I’ll be able to use it with a bit of tweaking. After searching 123 is a better match. I’m in Canada so I can’t order the samples😢. Based on your tutorial I found 123 suited you best too😍. Good video❣️
Yay I LOVE my koh gen do foundation!! Just got it about a month ago and it's already replaced my chanel, bobbi brown & fenty! It's my every day foundation from now on! So glad you liked it! xx

I love this as a warm weather foundation. It lasts extremely well. The 113 is a pretty good match for me. I am pale neutral to golden and get little to no additional summer color. I find it somewhat matte. I prefer to blend it in my hand with a drop of Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Base. I find this has more coverage on me than the Tom Ford new Soleil foundation and is more suitable for summer as the Tom Ford feels a tad too moist. In winter, I switch to the Koh Gen Do Moisture foundation. Love that neither Koh Gen Do foundation has fragrance.
Looks great to me. 123 was the one that seem to meld with your skin, and looks great with the Westman Atelier glow.

It looks lovely on you ! I actually loved the 123 so much that I ended buying the 143 to mix in when summer kicks in . It is a splurge , but that's the foundation I used 90% of the time last year ! xxx

Abby - they do show it - but it's not in the new 'sqat' bottle - am I right in that the new one is 'sqat'? It looks the same bottle as Sephora - here - is showing that they are all cleared out of except the extremely dark shades ......... I guess it's coming? I did have the old one from Beautylish a few years ago and got it too light and sending back was a pain, so gave it away. Anxious to try the new one! Looks super on you!

Abby I think that color is amazing on you and you don’t look cakey at all. i never tried it bc the shades were so limited. I do know they can customize...somehow, i forget 😊 I love a med to light/med coverage w a glow or at most a satin skin like finish. 💞
Andrea- yes, their shades are really limited. They have actually expanded them from the past but still limited. I do have to say this feels amazing on the skin and gives you light/med coverage with a little glow. Might be worth ordering the samples.xoxo

Have you tried the Hourglass Skin Tint? I am getting a couple sample shades in Golden and Beige. I hear its a solid coverage for a tint. Most Hourglass foundations are too matte for me. 😊

I will order samples first since the cost for bottle is $70. I had order the Kosäs tinted moisturizer but I didn’t get a sample initially. So I ended up picking a shade WAY too dark.
I will try out the samples first. I didn’t care for the Tom Ford foundation.
regisnyder Regina Snyder I ordered 7 in Kosas it was too dark...6 is perfect for me. I actually haven't reached for it since I bought the Laura Mercier Lumiere 😊 Its tricky for us WOC bc even if we find a deep shade (in my case medium/tan) the undertones are usually messed up/limited.
andrea cherry I’ve purchased so many different foundations and had to return every last one of them last year because they didn’t do what I needed them to do. I have dry skin and some discoloration to take into consideration when picking a brand foundation. I love Hourglass but it irritated my skin. 😖 I won’t use M.A.C because it’s TOO makeup artist cosmetic-y. It’s so frustrating but I refuse to purchase a lot this year.

I really want to buy this foundation, but I have a problem with the color. Like you, my foundations are 30 Chanel, Mac, Dior, Armani 5.5. In the summer, my face is a little tan and I do not know if 123 will not be too bright and I do not use a bronzer. Do you remember 143, it was much darker than 123? Orange? I like a yellow pigment.
Nastka- I love this foundation too- but the color selection is TOUGH! I have it in 123 which is more yellow based and the 143 was a tad too peachy/orange for me. I think if I mixed a bit of both it would be perfect but hate having to buy two foundations. The formula is WONDERFUL though. I hope this helps. The 123 does work for me- not perfect but do-able! xoxo

Honestly, I think I would go with the Koh Gen Do! I think it wears better than the Westman Atelier. I like the Westman Atelier but this would have bumped it out if I had tried it earlier. It feels wonderful on the skin. And yeah, for Violeta! xoxo

Thanks. Unfortunately they dont have the new Maifanshi foundation samples on their site anymore. There is only the old Aqua foundation and the Moisture foundation. Ive sent them an email about it. But I did find small sample bottles at Camera Ready. The foundation looks gorgeous on you and can’t wait to try it!

Ko gen do emailed me back and they said the samples are the new version😁. It confused me on the site because it didn’t have “Maifanshi” in the name which is the name of the new version. So all is good 😁😘
