Ummm...my dad was a farmer and when we would gi with him to check the fields and we saw that Smut we were freaked out!! He was good friends with the migrants working in neighbooring fields, they would make him authentic tamales. But dad never said anything about eating corn smut. Lol

I *REALLY* want to try huitlacoche. I dunno where to get it fresh. I would grow it on corn myself if I could get the mycelium.
