Play Time - 1967 has some of the most elaborate and incredible set designs ever created and constructed for any movie, along with... Rear Window - 1954 Intolerance - 1916 Synecdoche New York - 2008 The Ladies Man - 1961 2001 A Space Odyssey - 1968
I watched this in my college art class...and it just blew me away. Jacques Tati brought his grand vision to life and it was certainly worth it. One of my favorite scenes is when the glass door breaks!
The most amazing movie I've ever seen, like nothing else. I can't understand why is taken me all my life to have only just found it, one to watch several times.
Tati is a genius. This is a true gift from God. I can't remember a movie in which when I left it, I had to rewatch it three more times. A+ to studiocanal.
There are so many sight gags, my favorite sequence is the restaurant. So many storylines, characters to follow. Out of all Tati's movies, this is his EPIC.
Saw this movie on TV , in the mid 70's .in the early days of America"s PBS stations. I was about 15 years old. The movie left quite an impresion on me, to where it has become of my favorites.
You can watch the entire movie for free on Kanopy right now! This trailer doesn't do it justice. It's an absolute dream -- bizarre, wonderous, funny perfection.
Wow, looks like it was shot yesterday! Definitely going to be giving this a watch very soon. I am really floored to how fresh and modern this looks with the restoration, not to mention that way it is shot! Amazing
Hi, I would like to have your permission for me to use your footage in my short film project. Would you please kindly reply to this comment if possible?
expensive incredible wierd film ... creature of its time ... not a financial success ... perhaps an artistic success ... gag after gag flop but interesting nontheless
Very boring, self-indulging and obnoxious movie, which drags on for long minutes about points that are obvious at first sight. It feels like a 5minute short made into 2 hours of useless filler and endless repetition.
Thank you, videogamedunkey, for making a video to lead me to this gem :)
bruh
why am I here?
I didn't finish watching his review so that I could watch the movie more fresh. What a treat to find this film!
Dunkey’s humor is exactly what I find funny, too good
Super Mario Brothers 2
God, my professor, showed this during a lesson in architecture. Lol, it was the only thing I remembered from that day
😎 great movie
The directing, cinematography, colors, world building designs and the comedy is perfect. 👍
One of my favorite films of all time.

So.. what's it about? lol
This is how repetitive the music is
this movie wasn't yellowish. another movie destroyed by a stupid digital color grade. the new colourists are the cancer of cinema :(

Lol you just a simp
Why is always the people with no valid opinions who shout the loudest.
You just described your own review.
Sure it was a little dragged out but I feel like that’s the point. To emphasize just how goddamned BORING 1960s modern architecture is!
Beautiful
