- Pt. Venkatesh Kumar was a featured artiste at the popular FEA-curated festival Parallel Lines in Bangalore. In this video he performed two bandishes in Raag Rageshree.
He was accompanied by Pt. Ravindra Yavagal on tabla and Vyasmurti Katti on harmonium. Tanpura support was provided by his student Ramesh Kolkunda and Jaganathan.
Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar has no parallel among hindustani classical music singers in our country today. His tonal quality is almost divine. His music is a gift from god to the whole mankind. His style of gayaki is all his own and truly unique in the field of khayal gayaki. Wish him really a long long life and great health.
