- Pandit Venkatesh Kumar sang a Thumri during the FEA-curated PARALLEL LINES concert in Pune, "Piya Bidesh Gayo" in Raag Mishra Pilu.
He was accompanied by Bharat Kamat on tabla and Suyog Kundalkar on harmonium. Tanpuras and vocal support were provided by Shivraj Patil and Keyur Kurulkar.

There are very few male raag singers left in India with the old school full throated rendition. We are grateful to him.
20 unfortunate people disliked this gem , either they dont know about classical music / fans of Honey singh, bhatke hue aatma idhar pahonch Gaye 😂

Abbishek ji raag can't and shouldn't be called a slave of anyone, especially not for Legends.
They worship raag. We can say he is the great devotee of raag Pilu.
If we listen this 3-4 times per a day .. 💯💯 no need of Meditation ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Padhmabhushan pt M Venktesh Kumar, he is the best!! He is representative of his guru puttaraaj gavaayi and panchakshari gavaayi! It is the blessed voice of great persons.
Did he get Padmabhushan? Of course, he deserves it and probably higher awards. But he has not been able to do his own branding very well. Thank God for that - we get to hear such pure gems.
