Venkatesh Kumar: Raag Jaunpuri

Pt. Venkatesh Kumar's rendition of the late morning Raag Jaunpuri at the FEA curated morning concert series Prabhati was an apt choice and performed with great spirit, vigour and devotion. Accompanists Bharat Kamat on tabla and Ajay Joglekar on harmonium were both superb and delivered amazing dexterity and colour to keep up with the energy of Panditji. Even the supporting vocals by Shivraj Patil and Ramesh Kolkunda was enthusiastic and spirited.
