Remember that overlays are for the natural nail and it doesn't matter how long or short they are! So many people are curious but they assume your nails need to be grown out to do so. There is more skill and technique involved in doing extremely short lengths bc there's no guide and you have to make sure it all comes together, but one it does it looks great! I often recommend overlays for people wanting mini length bc it's quicker and wastes less tips lol Hope this video helps!

You did an excellent job on her set! I never allow my clients to go wash their hands because they could rub their hands in their hair when returning to my chair and it also helps with time. I just brush the dust off and clean the nails with young nails swipe. If you don’t have swipe use alcohol and that helps with applying gel polish because it dehydrates the nail.

one of my sister nail was semi split like that but she kept insisting she wanted nails after i told her i was against it so i cleansed the nail with alcohol and i used a piece of fiber glass and glued it to the split and prepped the nail and put acrylic and told her to monitor if she had any pain or discomfort but she didnt and in two weeks when i soaked the nails her nail grew out and the nail was good

Short nails were legit the hardest thing I’ve ever done . I was so frustrated , long nails are so much easier lol the short nails always look wonky no matter what you do. Even if they are professionally done. The nail ends up shaped like candy corn (like her ring finger on here AT FIRST) why is that ? The end result is pretty though
Yes short nails are difficult! They tend to look weird bc ppl try to shape just the tip for a slim look rather than looking at the nail as a whole to see what flatters the person but it takes practice and mainly is acrylic application that will help the whole look as well!
I hear they’re short nails are hard a lot, but for me short nails are easier for me than long nails
@@Bashetblack short is just trickier bc you have to be aware of how every little thing affects the thickness and shape ! But If you’ve perfected short nails right off the bat that’s great !
