Circus Peanut: Kisatchie Fly Fishers July 2024 Fly Tying HD

This month, we tied one of the most popular articulated streamers, the Circus Peanut. The Circus Peanut was developed by Russ Madden when he worked for Kelly Galloup at his fly shop in Traverse City, MI. It was one of the earlier articulated streamers and remains very popular to this day.
Materials:
• 2 hooks #4 or one #4 and one #6 (back) - Gamakatsu B10s
• Medium or large dumbbell eyes
• Articulation wire or 20-30lb mono
• 1 Large plastic bead or two small beads.
• Marabou tail
• 4 rubber legs
• 2 saddle hackle feathers
• Standard Estaz - 5-6” per fly
