What A cool fly. I gotta say I am so happy I don’t have to go out and buy expensive materials for this one. I have been a fan of using one fly at a time on stronger leader material than recommended by some authors…..some days one fly and one knot is how I can roll on the water all day long!
Great looking caddis pattern! Thank you for the video Charlie. I’m on vacation with the wife at the beach and can’t wait to get home and hit the vise to tie a few up!
Really nice profile from below where it counts. As another former young guy, I learned to fly fish in Maine when it was flat out illegal to use lead weights or more than fly at a time. Doing otherwise meant a high probability of meeting a displeased game warden. Even sinking lines were questionable.
Great concept pattern for a sedge Charlie! Hearty thanks for the lesson... BTW, my old dk pro is soon to need some replacement jaws, do you have an ETA of when one might be able to buy them?

You could call the pink yarn a jeezus spot. As in "jeezus, where'd that fly go?!"

Give the hopper, copper, dropper, flopper, mopper, bopper crowd hell Charlie!
Wow.. I like this!!
Not the Caddis fly we deserve … but the Caddis fly we need!

This looks reminiscent of Gary Lavontaine’s Sparkle Caddis Pupa…

They’re coming….a month or so?
Is there another dubbing that might work here? Maybe bruiser blend?
Rabbit, hare’s mask, short coarse synthetics… I believe bruiser blend is a long synthetic?
@@CharliesFlyBox I need quite a few things anyway, maybe I’ll hit up the website and grab some hairs mask dubbing!
