This is amazing! Im glad I found your channel at a young stage. I’m actually in the process of starting my own pokemon tcg content and eventually do sales as well and just see where I grow. Your videos have given me some extra motivation! Thank you! I can’t wait to see the growth!
Ive sold cards and shoes on ebay. Always good to have as an option to make some money. Not running a business, but small side hustle is good to recoup some money spent for pc collection.
I just started my channel and business online. its ben tough but I am figuring out. Great to see this and you earned a sub from me. Hope to see us both grow over this year.
@ I love it. You will succeed. You need to just get that site up. It looks awesome. I’m still working on getting singles and slabs up on mine and my Japanese supplier is great so I will have more sealed up soon. Still trying to work with my LGS to secure a decent price in English sealed so I can hit my margins. For now I’m just saving up and trying to get better at content. But I’m trying. Uploading a bunch and learning every day. What not is ok… but I will say there’s better routes I think. Too much stigma there. There’s tons of cash to be made, but I have issues with extremely high margins personally. You can def be one of the good ones. I enjoy your content man. You’re gonna make it quick. I just got 50 subs so I’m on my way. Thanks for responding, and congratulations and Godspeed!
@ let’s go! ya I’m talking to a couple of Japanese suppliers right now but some of their prices are so high that I wouldn’t have great or little margins after shipping and stuff. Still trying to figure all that out. I know buying large qtys for Japanese is better for margins and ya. I don’t want to charge a crazy amount either. I wanna be fair, make my cut and move on. But cool to hear where you’re at too. I’ll have some updates in my next video about how we can all help each other out!

@@MattsPokeMart nice you’re off to a great start. Figure out what your goals are and start posting content. It’s never to early to get your voice out there!
Great video! If you are going to keep anything sealed then I'd buy Pokemon Center Exclusive ETBs. They blow up in price and only cost $10-15 more than the non-exclusive. Even Shrouded Fable will go up quickly as it has a promo.
most of my cards that have sold have either been a combo totaling over $20 or $20 or more so far. I have a couple of cheaper ones, but yeah, I do plan to get some of those "cheaper" rigid ones for small of the smaller orders for sure!
80% of market, and you get slammed with 15% fees and shipping supplies, you end up losing money, even on whatnot because your time is worth money. When we buy collections, we offer 50% for the big hitters and take the rest as bulk, because we are doing all the actual work to move them and make them worth anything, and with this market your entire collection can drop 25% in a day. Buy low, sell high if you wanna make money, people will rant her and say oh your ripping me off, but it isn't like that, if you wanna do the thousand hours of work to inventory, list, sell live, pack ship, deal with hundreds of returns, and or thousands of questions and other hours of work, then do it yourself, otherwise understand the price of all that time you get back, and the materials you did not buy, are worked into what people think is a low ball offer, in the end, all cards are only worth what someone is willing to pay, not what someone is asking for and not willing to do the work to get the top dollar. We buy collections weekly, at 50%, folks are happy to walk away with a few grand and the relief that the did 5 minutes of negotiation instead of months of work. You actually make more because all that time you free up is has value.
@@kurtishundred someone mentioned to get the Pokemon center version and that’s w advice. It’s 10 more and available. I think those will hold greater value if you wanna sit on them for awhile.
Ahhhhh yeah yeah I’d do that forsure I have a bad habit of filtering by new release only so I never really see a little older stuff still there 😓😓 I’m go for it. Ty!
I literally just got my order from JPN last night and ordered on Thursday. But it was 6 booster boxes. I haven't worked with them long enough to know if they get product before releasing to the public though. But what I can say is that on my guy's price list, he wasn't showing prices on Battle Partners until after it released. But I think that may have been unique to how volatile this set was leading up to release day. I know other poketubers have have talked about that with their suppliers too. Just depends on the set I guess.
Just thought i should say 11:22 the rainbow top right of the binder is fake as the holo pattern is vertical instead of diagonal, strange thing is, pretty much all of the other cards look real.
Wait.. 539 in sales and 359 of actual money ? How is that 13%? I made the maths it's about 33.3% of fees. How is that possible ? It's way too much from ebay ? It's not worth it at all
Ya I’m still trying to figure it out too actually 😭 I need to do the real numbers and see if that is including shipping costs. Cuz regardless if that’s real or not 13% still sucks

you're right it is VERY expensive now and with the new import tarrifs coming in, may even be a tougher decision to buy Japanese unless the US market matches with the increase of the tarrifs or you buy enough volume to justify eating it. But ya my first month was definitely all about startup and creating a runway. I was just selling left and right. But with that I bought my first collection, and bought sealed from Japan. So it will be really important now how I track my profit and loss from here on out.
