As someone who loves photography and wants to a filmmaker, and I love TCGs as well; this has the highest quality feeling of TCG channels out there I've seen so far. What a good mix but maybe that's me being bias xD Like I can 100% tell you have a media agency it shows; that lighting is 10/10 Short Lighting for the win
@@JosephValenti holy crap. thank you so much for the kind words. def feelin the love on this comment 🙏ya im a filmmaker by trade haha so glad you can appreciate it
I just set up a TCGplayer account. Just want to say your videos have been extremely helpful in gaining insight for someone just starting off. Keep it up.
@@ShadowEmpireTCG love it! Lemme know how the TCGPlayer vibe is, I’m only eBay and my website. Don’t know if I need another platform to manage haha but curious if it might be better than eBay.
@@evilized2016gaming thanks for subbing! For my website, I use pirate ship or just the built in shipping that’s pretty good on my processors back end. I know Blackship and tenso are good for international, but my supplier in Japan just shipped everything for me via fedex, so never needed to use a third party yet! But if I did, I was def being checking out black ship and Tenso!
@@PikasMarket honestly one of my favorite parts about making these vids 😂 my wife says I should release a vid with no context of my recording of making the faces of the thumbnails 💀 this video, I probably sat there and made like 15 different faces
Honestly the margins just suck in Pokemon. It’s hard to source inventory, the market fluctuates like crazy, and unless you’re willing to sell with more risk on social media sites, stuff like TCG player and eBay take all the profit out in fees… if you buy product at 60-80% market.. you have to sell it for at least 100% market to break even after shipping materials and fees if on eBay/tcgplayer .. and those are sites where typically lowest price and race to bottom “wins”… Grading is a whole other disaster.. it’s basically gambling. You’re hoping for the 10, otherwise you lose money on the card and the grading fees, and the time it took to source the card, get the card, make a submission, get it graded and returned and then sell it.. I tried the hustle for like 2 years.. and all really did was take up a lot of time and only sorta subsidized the hobby for my son to collect. The real money in Pokemon right now is social media. Get some ad revenue, get some donations, get some product sponsors.
@@PMTCards such great insight. I appreciate you chiming in! Yes. You’re exactly right. Part of this business I’ve learned is knowing how to edit and pivot as the industry does, and like you said, diversify. That’s why I’m doubling down on social, UA-cam, affiliate programs, etc. not just selling cardboard haha. It’s been my dream for over 10 years to open my own shop one day. And I’m hoping I can grind through this really tough season right now and hopefully stick through it for a hot minute.

I was thinking of using blackship or tenso for shipping they seem pretty cheap. Do you have any other suggestions that are trusted? Just subbed also 😄
