  • In this video Corin re-styles a Chinese Juniper 'itoigawa'. This tree has been gown out for a number of years before being brought in for a full wire.
The Chinese Juniper lends its self to wiring very well and once the initial structure has be places the tree will continue to develop into its more refined shape.
The video was filmed over a number of days but in total took around 5-6 hours to complete.

I was lucky enough to see this tree at the 'during' stage and really impressed to now see the final, fully trimmed version. Corin, you are a master of your art.

Amazing depth of the branches. Almost a 3D effect! At the next repotting it needs a larger pot with softer corners to reflect the informal shape of the tree. Great work!!

Im guessing such a styling costs around £300-400 on such a big tree.
When you see the work being done and skill it should be way more. I pay Audi twice that doing a service and brakes.
Corin is so skilled and naturally charming. His vidoes are amazing.

Beautiful. Quick question: does that branch stump on right side need to come off? I’m just curious why it’s still on there. I would think it breaks up the line of the trunk. I’m thinking of starting a couple of bonsai….maybe…😂. Great videos?👍👍👍

Consider increasing exposure by half a stop or so when deploying the white screen. As it is the tree goes dark ...

How do I know for sure that one of my Juniper's is totally dead? Unfortunately my second tree has not done well, even though I was really happy with the shape I coaxed out of it. The needles are a dull green and hard, almost crunchy...I'm assuming there is no saving it?

  • @Chris-oq6kn

That tree came out amazing! Great job! Now do u think the bonsai purist would say that the right branch comes out of a curve so it shouldnt be there? I mean it totally fits the tree and looks like it belongs there but is that no good? Great music by the way love it!

    • @japanesemaplesbonsai7133

@@greenwoodbonsaistudio Thank you so much for the reply. Any info would be really useful to be honest. I think it would be useful to know what camera you use, is it just an iPhone or something more posh like a DJI OSMO handheld camera that has an axis gimble to steady the shot….and in terms of audio, I just have a little microphone connected to my T-shirt so that would be useful to know how you do your audio.
I watch all your videos and learn so much from them.
There was a guy called Tony (Tony’s bonsai) who passed recently and after watching his videos he really inspired me….he was the one who made me think…..I’m going to have a go at this and regardless of whether I’m good or bad, i just love it.
