Fun Fact: Very spooky

First break ends 1:38:12
Second break ends 3:22:00
Third break ends 4:24:28
The little dance Lewis and Leo did around 1:06:00 was adorable
It has always been the best part of the Yogscast that they are all so bad at games and function entirely on how they think a game should work. I love it.
So Leo has definitely shortened Lewis's life span by a few years.
i miss these streams
*spoilers*
I don't mind the ending honestly - guy haunted by his past relives it to try and save his family. I can understand that people are upset with all the witch stuff not being real though, and there could've been some sort of mention that the spooky shit that happened to the poor guy was actually real. Like if you saw Mary in the background after you find out the big twist at the end, could have been a extra layer.
I get why people dislike it, but I liked it all.
The past witch trials were relevant. Literally, in his past these people died. The old trauma and guilt started coming back when he was forced back into Little Hope. It's why you cannot stop any of them from dying in the past, just like you couldn't save them when you were a kid. However, now you get a chance to redeem yourself. They all died separated and in the present you are way more likely to die by splitting up.
The big thing is probably the beginning with the demon hand. It sets up a supernatural story that is subverted. But it can be easily explain as it's a flashback when the cop is telling you that you're being diverted to Little Hope. And, all these years you've been living with the guilt that you killed the only family you know by pushing blame onto your little sister. However, through the story you begin to forgive her and move on. Which is why he says "I'm going to be okay" at the end. The night was hell for him, but he's finally settled his demons.
@Ivar the Boneless but repeating the same subversion is just awful, and subversion in general are only good when they are rare and unexpected. doki doki literature club set off a wave of mediocre VNs trying to rip off the meta stuff and they were all worse for it (even some that would have been decent otherwise), this is just the exact same thing but its just one studio.
I would love if the " it was all in his head" ending was one, and there was another set of endings where its played straight.
Yeah, I loved it. I also loves the ending of the first game. I generally like the idea of mental/psychological horror, rather than just actual monsters.
Interactions between yogscast members are pure gold. When you are watching this channel, you don't watch people playing a game.
You watch the yogscast lore being written
All the groups they have are great, I miss Studs, Lewis and Ben save the world, chilluminati etc though
At 46:30 you can see the book for the next chapter has the same moon symbol Tanya's (the older sister) necklace had. I guess there's an overarching storyline somewhere
Does Ped just think all hats are fedoras?
Yeah, he laughs and pokes fun at things he barely understands. Goblin life.
Peds talks too much sometimes too.
By the end there was, indeed, little hope
"Not my first time" (playing darts)
Then aims for the double twenty, instead of the triple twenty, on his first go.
Also, spoiler, notice that when Vince takes out the darts later, they are all bulls-eye, but no one touched the darts after that, and he, as you said, didn't even for bulls-eye, except for last one. I think it's a hint that it's all imagination.
late to watching this
my theory is the locations of the town were real which means the witch trials and stuff did happen its just that the bus driver imagined them looking like his family
Leo snatching the control made my day hahaha
Am i the only person who thinks Lewis looks like bam bam from the flintstones
SPOILERS:
If anyone is disappointed about how the ending explained everything, or wished there was some sign to keep it mysterious: remember the shadowy clawed figure standing near the girl at the beginning, she spoke to it, as the parents argued about how she didn't act right. Then the bear fell over onto the stove burner. And the theme of the girl being haunted by evil was prevalent throughout, with carver and the doll. When they burned the doll at the end, a very specific thing happened, and in the "good" ending the game made a point to show us carver throwing the doll on the ground. I think this is all supposed to indicate that there really is some foul influence going on. Something was bothering that girl, and something started that fire.
And the ladder wobbles at the beginning after the guy ignored his sister.
that could just be andrew internalizing his guilt and projecting it onto his little sister. Most of what we saw back then was a memory so it would make sense that Andrew's events would be a bit fuzzy
Andrew had lots of witchcraft books that’s where all of his hallucinations were from, I wouldn’t be surprised if he just selectively remembered his sister having a demon with her to lessen the guilt of her purposely burning the house down and leading to all their deaths, especially because it’s hinted that dodgy things were going on with her and the priest and the family didn’t know.
Poor Pedguin... the gang flubbed every single consequence free 'heartbeat' skill-check leading up to his so he had no idea it was going to flip button prompts.
have simon/tom said if they're gonna play this?
I know right, waiting for them.
I'm sure they will! They wouldn't miss this.
Tom said he wants to.
Your wish came true!
@@gyrhan hell yeah! just finished the video, so glad they managed to record it
Ngl I love Little Hope, my hot take.
3:49:58: Her reaction had my ribs hurting of laughter, holy moly.
So, just in case.. No matches for Leo.. Ever..
Safety first & all..
I was also milk for halloween. It came with a cookie too.
I'm pretty sure inaction in some timed sequences gives favorable results
*SPOILERS*
Although you can't save anyone. Leo killing everyone in the prologue was hilarious, Jesus hahahha. Especially when Ravs and Ped started the wind up about how they can all be saved.
lol leo looks like granny
At the Mary's brother dying scene, could anything avoided the cop dude from having that knife? The way it's slowed down feels that way.
2:20:24 The Yogscast - starring Chauncy and Cookie
Lewis doesn't even like American holidays
Ngl 2:21:25 spooked the shit out of me. All the other jumpscares didn't scare me at all but this one made me jump
I liked the plot twist
1:05:58 was so cute lol
1:49:00 Makes me think it's a Shining type deal.
Have colony crew done any other games like this before?
This was fun
"Everyone in chat keeps saying I'm scaring them more than the game is"
Yes, you are, everytime, but hey that's part of the fun.
WOOOOW Angela's death was *dirty*
"Little Hope Factory to close
Little Hope Factory to close
Little Hope Factory to close
YEAH YEAH SHUT UP ABOUT IT"
Me: *But why is it coming up constantly. Why is it important*
I don't get why people hate on these little short stories for not being "actually supernatural" and being in your head or due to chemicals or what not. Like sure there's some false decision stuff and all sorts of weirdness but even if you know it's coming I freakin love it.
Okay but how does the ending explain when the group split up
I feel like the only loving the ending of the first game and this one. Although the first game did feel weird when playing single player, which I didn't experience as much with this one.
Just like in American Horror Story, same actors different stories.
Imagine To, Simon and Ben playing this!!!!
Watched the whole thing on twitch, can say the game's ending was shit but colony crew made it all worthwhile
Yeah, those ending just made the whole thing feel flat to me. Colony crew was great though
This game is very relatable, growing up in Massachusetts with an alcoholic dad. Weird cooincidence.
53:32 May be the dumbest thing i've heard Leo say "That's a good point, you don't need reception to dial emergency services" So how exactly would the phone contact the emergency services? Does it have this magical connection when you have an emergency lol.
Thinking about it I guess England would have 100% coverage with a network of some kind but here in North America there are many spots where there is no network coverage so you could not make an emergency call.
Kind of, in the UK at least the emergency services call will use the old mobile phone network technology that typically has much better coverage than the high speed connections that most other mobile communications are done over.
which is why you sometimes see a mobile lose signal but still say 'emergency calls only' or have a little E on the signal indicator
@MrEaking @mricyicy There's also a special arrangement between all mobile network providers to relay emergency calls. So even if your own network has poor reception in that area, if another provider has good reception, the emergency call will be routed through them. They've all agreed that, for emergency calls, they'll all carry each other's calls through their networks.
Basically, the phone will connect to any functioning cellular tower it can find and all of them agree to carry emergency calls - mutually ignoring SIM restrictions, networks, billing and all that crap.
So you have the combined network coverage of ALL mobile networks - the super set of every network put together - for emergency calls.
Thus, your network might say "no signal" - as it doesn't have coverage there - but if any other network does have coverage, then they will relay the emergency call regardless (so, yes, you can often see on a mobile in the UK "no signal" but it still says that emergency calls can be made - and it's because of this agreement that every network provider ignores who issued the SIM and will carry emergency calls anyway, whoever is making them. Your provider has "no signal", but if any provider does have a signal then you can make emergency calls through them instead).
Plus, yes, in the UK, when you combine all the mobile networks together like this, there's very few places where you literally can't get any kind of signal at all. It is possible in a very remote area, but unlikely. While, yeah, America is gargantuan, so there's vast tracts where "no signal" absolutely literally means "no signal", and there's no coverage from anyone.
Is there some non-triple a spelling of "lasagna" I'm not aware of?
lusognuh
In italian we usually use the plural "lasagne" (and the gn sound english uses is wrong but it's funny lol)
I think lasagna is a singular square of the pasta, while lasagne is plural and the name of the dish.
Shout out to winnie the pooh
I hope tom and simon play this
Sorry to Leo but I just don't understand why she so easily gets scared enough to scream
Have you seen Lydia play phasmaphobia?
pizza time
Man that Angela bit was hilarious, but damn the pog thing got boring after awhile haha
I don't get the term "pog". Can anyone explain?
@@mobieus7 Rip Barry, Simon and Tom. They use it a lot 😅
Pogchamp twitch emote
@@media701 Oh yeah I forgot it’s from that 😲
Yogscast are great. Game seems to have some cheap jump scares and not much else so far (1.5 hrs in)? Why do the Ypgscast not clip out the breaks when they upload this to UA-cam?
Why did Lewis think the ending was only decided by the last two options? It’s an endings video, yeah you’re only gonna see end of it? What did he expect? Every dialogue option that lead to the ending?
I am getting sick of Leo's "i'm a dumb idiot persona." She needs to retire it.
lmao leo IS a dumb idiot and that's why we love her
Interesting game that I was gonna skip watching at first.. But the ending was pretty meh and kinda ruined the whole thing ^^'
Oddie is a dude
I think it's pretty clear something supernatural was actually cursing the family but it was kinda... badly done. Just think about the little girl and how the "modern" version never even got to talk to them or anything (the other family members / his dead family ) that and how the whole thing started. Sure you "could" see it as him imagining all their deaths at the beginning bc he's crazy. But that's what would've made that genius. Instead they fucked it up by being too vague. Most people don't remember the start. I didn't... until I read the comments and then I was like "Oh. Right. "
Dude, you can really tell they cut some corners with the dialouge and cutscene trees bc a lot of the time characters that should be there just aren't. Also, like Ped said there's no real input from either of the girl characters? Angela is clearly meant to be the first to die and Ped got like no turns as Tanya and she was the second to be set up for being killed

I'm with Leo, I enjoyed the journey of the game but like oof, this game has the same problem as Man of Medan. They had all this awesome groundhog day time stuff going for them and they just abandon it for a rational explanation and so the ending is all messed up. Why do they keep doing that? It's so unsatisfying.
What's with the pogging? Did I miss the joke?
that was the stupidest fucking ending ever. i hate these types of games.
Oh sweet jesus, at 1:42:20 when they were talking about ped's kid not recognizing and being scared, I thought they were talking about that Mentally Handicapped girl who was on the main channel and who lewis played a few games with.
Spoilers!
Why do the devs keep on having to mess up these really interesting plots with these boring and unsatisfying endings?
It's beyond unsatisfying. There's litterally a whole sub-plot about how Mary/Megan was being molested by the reverend, there's a demon hand with Megan at the beginning, the wooden things, the sun and moon things. Hell, even the WW1 things. All of them are just scrapped for the ending? What's the point of building lore if it's completely irrelevant?
@@imbillb I feel like the ending could have been good and still have kept the main idea. I suppose the subplot about Megan being abused is supposed to come from Andrew's guilt for not standing up for Megan and protecting her. That's why the best ending is where Andrew stands up for Meghan and condemns the priest. Come to think of it, the whole game is about Andrew forgiving Mary for starting the fire and him changing himself. But this ending just makes me feel empty.
is leo and lewis going out?
Lewis and Leo would make an adorable couple. Why is Ped calling a Bowler Hat a Fedora?!
Bit weird to ship real people.
@@foxbordeaux8 how is that weird?? Some people just look like they would make a good couple.
Jesus Fuck Leo is attractive. Even in a fucking milk bottle costume.
Second comment
Are Lewis and Leo dating? Or is Lewis just really weird around women? I'm sure I've noticed this before. Whenever he interacts with girls he leans in and looks at them in a way he doesn't with guys. It's so uncomfortable. Not suggesting that it's anything more than just Lewis's lack of social skills but it comes across as kinda sleazy.
Holy shit. The political bullshit was insufferable. Seriously? The game is sexists because the male and female characters didn’t have the exact same amount of gameplay? Absolute insanity.
It was obviously a joke dumbass
@@samphillips8188 except it wasn’t dumbass.
