Thank you for the message! My spouse and I had been talking about many of these Bible verses a couple of days ago, I felt like God used you to edify us all who tuned in. I recommend listening to John Owen's Mortification of sin (it's free here on youtube). In the west I feel we want everything of God, the free gift , but we don't want to offer our lives as sacrifice to Him by renewing our mind and walking in newness of life. This was Biblical and so refreshing, THANKS!
I don't understand the Bible, or what or who God is... I prayed for years, and I do try to serve God, but I don't feel better or happier or wiser or stronger I cry because I pray for years and my prayers are not heard I fear that God isn't real 😢
The Lord said for all who are burdened to come to Him and He will give them rest. See Matthew 11:28-29. These words are true. Which means if you who are burdened truly turn to the Lord He will give you rest. I don’t know your life nor the depth of your pursuit, but God has to be met on His terms. And honest confession and surrender tends to be key in encountering Him. I encourage you to seek Him humbly, transparently and authentically and I believe He will encounter you. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God *IS* real. There isn’t a question in my mind. Please read the New Testament in its entirety. Believe the words of Jesus, walk in them, surrender to Him and serve Him with your life. Sometimes we do the least and expect the full experience that God has for His children, but oftentimes it doesn’t work like that.
