Loving this channel mate. As a Brit living in the US I really miss a good curry. Making them myself these days and taking all these tricks, tips and recipes on board. Top work. Oh, and I also love that you’re always bloody smiling.
I’m just south of Indy. We have a good Indian restaurant in town, but the style is entirely different to the way curry is cooked in the UK. It’s good, but it’s not like home, if that makes sense?
Paul Roberts makes sense! I live in Rochdale near Manchester and you’ll know the famous curry mile but no one makes curry like mum does 😏
Well, when I say ‘home’ I mean ‘the local Indian on a Saturday night’ :D
@@paulroberts5114 just curious, what's the difference between british curry and curry that is sold in the US?
@@dorna2325 British curry is edible. 😝
Wholesome man, wholesome channel, great looking food mashallah
Jalfrezi is my favorite BIR meal, thanks for taking the time to show us how to make it.
Thank you for sharing your secrets! It's great for those of us who don't live in the UK and therefor can't enjoy BIR cooking except when you're doing it yourself!
I was born and grew up in Birmingham city, so as a “Brummie” we have a vast choice of Indian cuisine and we know a good Indian, Bengal or Pakistani dish, I’ve been watching and using this channel for a while now to cook my own due to the lockdown and to be fair , these recipes are up there with the best, cheers Latif, you’ve saved my sanity 👍
Ladypool Road? say no more mate 🙂
Lamb shashlik is the one for me but i will eat any curry with a smile on my face tbh!
Sitting watching this, eating some cheese and onion crisps there just not doing it. How long do you think it would take to deliver to Devon 😂
I love how we all cook these BIR dishes slightly differently, for me all the little tricks for a slightly different taste is what makes them great, thanks 👍
Must be the 5th jalfrezi recipe I've done, and the first one that actually hit the mark! Fantastic.
Looks awesome Latif.
Cannot wait to try it
This looks absolutely delicious. Thank you.
Cooked this last night, jalfrezi is my favourite dish and many tutorials or recipes i have tried haven’t really done it justice. However this is better than even some of the best restaurants and takeaways i have had and now i can cook it at home without ordering or going out for a meal, at a fraction of the price too. Honestly couldn’t be more grateful, thank you. 👍
Thanks for the videos. I love cooking curries at home and you really do inspire me to get the pans out.
UA-cam must know I’m fasting 🤔😂
Good stuff 👏
Love this guy. Food looks really tasty.
Great video, I should be eating that right now. Keep up the good work!
I made this curry today and it was lovely. Spot on heat and full of flavour. Thank you for sharing your cooking with us. As a brit who lives in NZ I was really missing BIR curry so really thankful for your teachings. All the best.
Ding Dong, thats great, can't wait to try it bro!
I made this today according to your recipe. It was delicious and fiery! Thank you, chef!!
It looks delicious 😋 thanks for sharing ❤️

That looks delicious. I'll take that and a bit of rice and happy days.
I watch your videos for the editing alone...you guys are hilarious
ImproperMonster we are learning on the job training lol
This is amazing, please keep up the good work. I still purchase from my local BIR, but this beats UK 'jar' curry hands down, thanks Latif
Gr8 looking dish Latif . On the must do list🤙
Really enjoying the channel and the recipes, I made the pathia the other night and it came out great 😀. Could you do a how to make for Dhansak it would be really helpful 👍

Fabulous skills and tutition Latif, thank you very much 👍
Masha’Allah yummy 😋
Nicely done, keep it up bud!
My word, I wish I could be that camera man, the only anoying thing about this video is i can't smell or taste it, but looks divine.
For me jalfrezi is the GOAT of curries
loving your channel bud
The color of the sauce is such a beautiful hue. Also, you have very expressive hands. Are you sure you aren't part Italian?
Love this traditional old bir jalfrezi. It reminds me of what my father taught me and it was one of my favourite takeaway curries. Don’t like the new style takeaways do where the onions and peppers are huge pieces and no masala sauce which makes a big big difference in flavour. Might make some at home soon again as the family love this as a treat
I didn’t think Indians used curry powder
BIG T We do along with the usual spices like cumin, coriander etc in certain dishes only. I know in restaurants and takeaways that the spice mix made by the chef more often than not does have curry powder too. It’s only a mix of spices so people do prefer certain brands and heat levels.
alishahid292 ok I got told once that curry powder was a British invention and no one in India uses it they prefer making their own spice mix .
BIG T I know some people who buy already mixed spices which I guess would be made to a specific stores taste and people do sometimes prefer these and stick to them. In Pakistan there are masala stores(spice stores) that also to their own special mix which would be the “curry powder” in essence but like I say some people do prefer these than their own. Nothing wrong with it and I don’t think it’s a British thing as stores have always done these but to sell to the British I guess you would say “it’s curry powder”. It’s like tea, brits think they invented it but it’s actually Chinese to started have leaves seeped in hot water. It’s only relevant the point at which its commercialised and known from then but we forget its true roots.
the huge peices and no masala sauce sounds like what they call a balti curry
looks nice man beef karahi is my favourite
great looking tasty curry
You can't beat a hot Curry and especially all those spices and my favourite Garlic, Personally I like a Vindaloo with lamb and occasionally Chicken .....I am making a lentil curry Tomorrow, Damn I am hungry now. Thanks for the video ;)
Fantastic mate
Lovely channel well described 😊
Hi mate great video just subbed and cant wait to follow some of your recipes, usually I throw a bit of everything in when make my own curry and just go from flavour. The indian restaurant near me does a Chicken Naga Madrass Jalfrezi, I guess its a chef specialty for that restaurant but I Tell you its the best curry I have ever had in my life.
Welcome back
Latif I've been struggeling with making an Achari Chicken. Fell in love with the dish, but haven't been able to make it at home. Any chance you could help?
Love the new camera! Way better image! Keep it up! Greetings from Holland.
Ok guys, didn't have all the ingredients however, lush absolutely lush
Mustard sounds like a great idea. Will make this later thank you :)
Wow, really nice. Have you plans on doing your version of the madras please?
Very nice i liked it keep it up
Very good, very nice 👍🏻
Ok guys I'm in the middle of cooking this will leave feed back soon.
Latif you are the governor. I’ve just cooked your Jalfrazi and its knocked everything out of the park.
Thank you for sharing.
A fabulous channel.
Please keep up the gd work👍
Gary Charles I hope it wasn’t the chillies that knocked you out of the park 😉
I just tried a Sharwoods jar of Jalfrezi - with some added ingredients. Needed to search for some recipes for the next time. That curry looks amazing.
Where about is this restaurant? Would love to try all the different citrus this man makes they look sooo good ma mouths watering just now
Clean 👌🏽👌🏽
Brilliant cooking pal, if I wanted to make a larger pan full do I just double up on the ingredients or will that make it to over powering
Nice twist with the english mustard

Hi
As a fellow restauranteur I really like watching your videos and recipes, well done on all the good work and please continue.
Also I really like your cooker with the stainless steel top.
Can you recommend where to buy one?
Regards
Roman
You're actually a restaur*at*eur, not a restaur*ant*eur... (just in case you run into anyone French)... spread the word. You can tell the likes of Jay Rayner, Nigel Slater, John Torode... who all get that wrong, too. 😉
Hi Latif,
Could you show us how to make a good chicken/lamb tikka biriyani. No one seems to make a decent one or even a consistent one!!
this channel is 🔥🔥🔥 these dishes work as aphrodisiac for me, my wife loves them 🌶🌶🌶
Excellent mate. Do you have a recipe for a chicken jalandauri. My local does it and it’s amazing. Creamy spicy dish
That looks champion Latif. Do you have a recipe for a chicken ceylon ( a popular curry in the Newcastle)nice and spicy with lush coconut
Yum yum. Looking for an excuse to visit Alsager so I can sample it.
Nice mate
Yes Bhaiya
just found this channel , food looks amazing :] .. then i find out this place is 15 mins away from me :D see you soon
U lucky sod
Hi latifs, I made this jalfrezi it was better than all of the local curry houses. Amazing! I have just made your tikka masala recipe I swapped the white onions for red ones the curry seems a bit acidic do you think the onions are the cause?
Hey bro, if you haven't done it already can you do a butter chicken video. Cheers
Hi 👋, where is your restaurant? I watch your videos and would love to try your food ... it looks sooooo good 😋🤗
Great channel well done
Assalam mu alaikum brother, I hope this finds you and your family in the best of health. Are you able to let me know where you get your knives from the orange/red handle ones? I would be so grateful. Jzk
C’mon bro ya can’t beat a Jalfrezi ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🤤 ... what’s the base gravy tho bro or have you a video for a home cooked Jalfrezi?? 👨🍳
😍
Cooking this tomorrow
that must be the cleanest indian kitchen in britain
I will be trying this dish, thanks for showing us.
How do you make your base gravy?
Also what ghee do you recommend? I currently use "East End Pure Butter Ghee". Would that be grass fed ghee?
Derek Robbins I have a video on how to make base gravy if you scroll down you will find it. Thank uou
Can you make aloo palak please? It's my all-time favorite dish. Please please please! Aloo palak or saag.
One question - when you say add the Red marsala paste from the Chicken Tikka video - do you mean just add the mixture of the Kashmiri, Tandoori and Tikka pastes ? I'm guessing you do, but just want to make sure - Thanks for such a wonderful video
I'm from Ireland and I had a curry house not far from me owned by a lovely guy named Tal from Bangladesh, and I always used to ask him to make me actual regional curries not on the menu, just for authenticity, and he made me two dishes I loved, which he simply called Lamb Afghani and Lamb Methi, neither of which I can find recipes for, as Tal had to return to Bangladesh to care for his elderly parents, but I really really yearn for his food.
Take a Chill Pill Latif is Bangladeshi/ Sylheti who are the best, most authentic, best tasting and authentic chefs of Indian curries. Its that Simple as Martin had discovered with Taj from Bangladesh. Pakistan restaurants do not even close the quality, taste and hygiene of restaurants like Latif’s. I AVOID ALL pakistani restaurants since all you’ll be getting is boiled meat in a generic insipid curry sauce. They are not authentic Indian food and the spices will come no where near Bangladeshi chef.
Dude love your videos.. any chance you can do some keto curry video
Pun Maximus I’ll try as I’m trying to go on a keto Style diet!!!
@@LatifsInspired I'm also on Keto and would absolutely love to adapt these type of dishes to a low carb Keto friendly type. Look forward to that.
I have subscribed to your channel..I usually use cauliflower rice..it's just the keto curry we would love to watch
Hi, Bro can you show how to make a chicken ceylon dish. Will be much appreciated
Mustard is popular in Bengali cuisine!
