would've been nice to have like 3 years ago instead of my T300rs GT haha! Saving for an R5 soon, tested it in person, 80% ffb is plenty strong for me I don't think people understand how little of a presence Fanatec have in Asia. The closest supplier we have is in Japan/Australia and they only ship locally. Moza has taken over the South East Asian market, and I'm all for it
I reviewed the TX a couple of years ago. ua-cam.com/video/um4stxL8lGs/v-deo.html. But a lot of stuff has passed through my hands since, so I can't recall enough to offer any kind of precise comparison without testing it again. I borrowed the TX back then, so I don't have one here.
Nice review, please can you let me know where you get the radar screen display? The one that shows other cars around you in the top down view and which sims this works on?
T300 is a good time, bro! If you are strictly playing hardcore sims, maybe not the best choice, but I have nothing but good things to say about my 4-5 years with it playing assetto and some rally/horizon games.
As of February 2024, the R3 is still unavailable. I'm leary of when companies can't make a product that is promised. The Moza pedals most likely will need an upgrade kit for $30 more, if they can deliver. Meanwhile PXN V12 lite is available at Microcenters, for $400 for the base, wheel for $150, and pedals for $60. More available for the XBOX than Fanatec too as there's something holding up it's shipment, QR, for example in my case. I ended up settling for the Logitech G923 as I got it for $239 from Amazon renewed and am happy with it and will start the upgrade path for it, springs, magnetic paddle shifter mods, steering wheel, and maybe invert them.
Abruzzi will be the distributor to buy from in the UK. It will be £399. I don't know when it will be available, but I don't think it will be a long wait before it hits retail.
This ua-cam.com/video/SjAl2NwagCE/v-deo.html. I did need to drill a couple of extra holes into the bracket, to account for the short length of this wheelbase. You can see those extra holes in the video too.
@@ACCLongy01 Because if you're in the market for a 5nm DD the Fanatec is the smart choice because you can upgrade your base later on for wayyyyy cheaper than if you went the Moza route and had to get an all new base just to upgrade your FFB strength. Especially if you get one of the knock off power bricks for under $50.
@@ACCLongy01 that's a non argument. That's like saying Moza could sell the R9 for the same price as the R5. So seeing as that was your response, I'm not surprised your brain isn't on the smart money. lol
@@BurtSampson You talk to me like I'm a Moza fan, that couldn't be further from the truth. I own a Simucube 2 pro, and before that, a Simagic alpha. It's obvious where your loyalties lie my friend.
If you just need PC compatibility, that's correct and makes sense. But, you will need to buy one of the more expensive Fanatec wheels for Xbox compatibility, which takes it to at least 499. And does that 399 Fanatec deal include the table clamp? So it depends on requirements. The cheap CSL steering wheel with the plastic QR (or add another $99 for the metal QR) is lower quality than the Moza wheel. So with context, the Moza bundle seems fair.
@@SimRacingCorner so i bought the csl dd bundle recently with the mclarren gt3 wheel instead of the p1 v2 wich came to a price of 479€ and no table clamp this is 20€ extra i guess , which i dont dont need but i have xbox compatibility aswell XD. This bundle is alright, not great if you already have a set. I currently have a Thrustmaster ecosystem, and would like to upgrade to a DD wheel with much torque than this R3. But i give Moza their props for shaking the simracing World.
Absolutely, the placement to me is clearly meant to replace wheels like T300GT entirely, and you can upgrade to a more powerful wheelbase later and still maintain console compatibility as long as you use the Xbox ES wheel with a wheelbase that works with it (i.e. R3 R5 and R12)
@@LeMamour fair I was about to go gung-ho on my whole thrust master setup (I’ve also bought into the ecosystem as well) but honestly I heard rumours that the T818 will release for console supposedly in November. Now take that with a grain of salt but still. I know that base is as much as this bundle is but honestly I already have a stick shifter and pedals all I want is a new wheel base. So 600-700$ for that doesn’t seem to bad when this bundle is also 600$

It's 3.9 not 3 to be accurate! The 5nm CSL DD is a great deal with the bundle discount if you get the cheapest CSL Elite Fanatec wheel (and in fairness is lower quality than the R3 ES steering wheel). And, if you want Xbox support, you will need to buy one of Fanatec's more expensive steering wheels, in which case the R3 is less expensive by at least $99.
@@SimRacingCorner I dont understand the people who buy a relatively expensive dd wheelbase while not having a in my opinion is way more important to have a PC with lets say a logitech wheel that having an xbox with an nice dd wheel.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to try the C5 in the future. The lack of Xbox compatibility means it's not for everyone! When you add shipping, the C5 is $394, before VAT/customs on top. Ideally best bought from a local dealer if possible. A UK distributor has it listed for pre-order for £330 with the table clamp, without pedals. That looks pretty good.
It depends on the country you live in. If the C5 is officially sold in your country, then it destroys almost all other steering bases on the market. Even the P9 does not seem to be a very profitable purchase.@@SimRacingCorner
Not for ants, but strong enough to compete with the Logitech G29. Considering that console has close to zero options in terms of DD and most don't want to invest more than what their console costs in peripherals for playing Forza or Dirt 5 (just mentioning the games directly advertised by Microsoft), that's a sensible decision from Moza. I'd rather have Xbox compability for my R9, but I know that that's not as easy to achieve as it sounds (licensing BS).
@@wisllayvitrio71 Um, Fanatec isn't "almost zero options" there buddy. In fact, they cover both the Xbox and PS5 consoles, and they don't insult you with this weak wheelbase doing it. C5 is better value, but it's also not compatible with consoles. Consoles shot themselves in the foot years ago requiring a stupid expensive license to grant usage to their hardware, and it's kept all but Fanatec away from them with the serious wheelbases. I don't see this changing anytime soon sadly.

Was looking at the prices at my local online retailer (Singapore) the price of the Moza R5 Bundle / Cammus C5 Bundle is almost same as the T300RS.
