thats what im here for actually. its hard to get all the air out of this thing. I just got one and im trying to figure out if there's some method that works best.
I'm going to stick with my underquilts for now, but I'd think hard about this if I was starting out in hammocks. Another advantage of this over underquilts is if you ever have to go to ground due to lack of suitable trees.
Cool review! I'm sure the wings did not flip up in the double layer it where they separate in the middle, was that a cold spot or do the two wings (top and bottom) fill in the gap? Also, was it a flat lay or could you lay on an angle to get a flat lay? Thx!
The wings surround you in this awesome cocoon of warmth and comfort. I don't even have to use a pillow when I use the Klymit. The lay is just as flay as an UQ and after more than a dozen cold night, I have not experienced any - and I mean any - cold spots.
What did you use as a sleeping bag / top quilt? Really thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. Do you think it would be to hot to use year round? This is my kind of review, seeing it in use. Tired of watching people tell me what I already know from the manufacturers site.
Tell me though if you put it just in the hammock does it shift around alot? I need something that when I turn on my side I don't wake up half way in the night to find it onto of me! :)
The pad has a non-slip coating that really grips well. In my experience, the pad stayed put and I didn't have to fiddle with it. Like all insulation, you have to adjust it a bit when you get into the hammock, but once set, you don't have to worry about it. - Unless you're like my son who is a tornado and often wakes up with his head at the foot end of the hammock. I'm still not sure how he does this. Good luck.
Nice video, you should do some MORE reviews...even on older stuff!
Great video buddy. Love some of that back ground music. That pad looks amazing
Good review, nice to see it in between layers on a double-layer hammock, since all the photos are of it laying on top inside the hammock.
Nice review. I would like to see a vid on how to get this back in the tiny stuff sack they provide. Good luck with that...

Awesome review,,, really appreciate that you did the test in the WB BB. Do you really like your Warbonnet Blackbird ...? Which tarp did you purchase?
Thanks you are the first and only qualified reviewer of this product. Do you always fully inflate or does a semi inflated pad feel better?

this is a fantastic review. i'm waiting for mine to come in the mail!
would you recommend it over an underquilt? this vs the ember2 from eno?
Thomas Adams they are totally different animals. It really depends on your needs
Nice job. You have a knack for video.
Thanks. We're having a lot of fun.
This video hit the spot! Thanks
