Hi David, Brian here in Oklahoma. I checked my newest addition to my hive collection (a nuc transferred into a 10 frame deep 2 weeks ago) I didn't have any drawn comb to give them as I have only been keeping bees for a year and haven't collected any, so I put 5 fresh frames of wax foundation in for them. they have fully drawn out all 5 frames of foundation already so tomorrow I will give them a 2nd deep with 10 frames of foundation. Your videos have been a great help to getting my new colony off to a great start!

I just checked my hive, and I'm a newbee, but my photos reveal like 40 eggs! BUT I had a nuc, and I don't have a lot of available drawn-out foundation...
And I'm feeding. I'm giving her a chance as I have a lot of theory and little skill😂
@@TarotandWitchery The number of bees and incoming food is related to the queen laying or the colony drawing out new foundations. If the weather changed, the bees will slow brood to how much they can keep warm and feed. Keep in mind as the bee population grows, your colony will bloom.
I kept a candy board above the brood box hive alive in the sugar and had 100% success using your idea thank you!

I think the thymol/sugar might be something worth trying on maybe 2 or 3 hives.... Don't do illegal stuff, but a science experiment can't hurt if it's just thyme oil sugar and menthol..

5/31/23 please tell me how to get rid of small hive beetles. I have screened bottom with sticky paper on the bottom. Still see the beetle larvae on the sticky paper. I only have one Colony . Thank you
Hi Angela, try the oil traps between frames. Works good for me.
My bees are plugging the nest with nectar heavily, although they have an empty super just above. Maybe providing better top venting would help put nectar up above the nest?
