It's a very tight fit on the zipper and I think it's putting some pressure on the joysticks as well. The Skull & Co one I reviewed fits much better on the Ally X.
Iv sent an unnamed brand back to amazon as i noticed that the case depressed the back buttons. Does this matter or am i being to cautious, i dont want a case to wear the back buttons out being constantly being pressed, do you think a completley flat bottomed case are better instead of the body moulded type? @KeiRetroGaming
I wouldn't worry too much but you don't want it pushing down on the buttons either. Check the Skull & Co one I reviewed if you need a good budget option for the Ally X. The tomtoc slim case is my favourite for the regular Ally though. Here's my recommendation for the Ally X (it's an older video of mine): ua-cam.com/video/gJk6p82uYX8/v-deo.html
Very nice review. Just wanted to know if that tomtoc case fits inside the tomtoc sling? I know it's too much but i'm concerned about the protection of the screen inside the sling bag especially when things are shuffled around inside. having the ally in the tomtoc case in the sling would be nice protection.
It won't fit in the official sling with the case as well, but it does however fit in the sling I showed in my Legion Go review with a nice amount of room around it. Hope that helps!
It fits but it's awfully tight on the zipper when fully closed. I don't think it's pushing on the joysticks or anything else though. I checked and the skull and co one fits much better overall on the Ally X.
@@KeiRetroGaminggood to know man 👍 i was doubting between the tomtoc slim or the skull & co for the ally X. Im now using the original og Ally travel case, that one feels pretty tight too when closing.
i heard the tomtoc fits the rog ally x as well - so im tempted to get it

@@KeiRetroGaming thanks! I’ll check that out. 😄
Looks pretty great. Tomtocs stuff is really nice
Definitely my go to brand when it comes to slings or cases. They usually have pretty nice sales too.
Will Jsaux grip be fit in the slim case?
It should... But I don't have one to test it so I can't guarantee it'll work.
Will the ally x fit in this ok?
Hmm it should... but I'll try it when I get the Ally X on the 21st.
