At this very moment I have both the Crane 4 and the DJI RS3 Pro in my Amazon shopping cart and desperately needs good advice. Would the build quality and the Auto-Lock feature on the RS3 Pro worth more than the wrist support, sling arm and the 10W LED light with diffuser without the Auto-Lock feature for someone who is a Run & Gun event photographer who also need some short video clips with A7RV (with or without the battery grip) & the heavy Tamron 35-150mm f/2.0-f/2.8 lens setup?

You may consider Crane M3S， it's smaller.
You said you used a z9 on the gimbal. As far as I know z9 has a vertical grip. Unless your z9 doesn't have a grip, I didn't see that heavy camera on the gimbal.
