    Hi Brandan. Thanks for the vid. I bought some of your worry-free and am about to coat my electronics. One thing that confused me was plugging in the air unit cable. Didn't seem like you needed to plug it in based on how you applied the worry free. I have several plugs in my FC. I am curious if I should coat the worry free over the plug such that I wouldn't be able to unplug it until I remove the worry free. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @brandan_fpv
      @brandan_fpv  Рік тому

      For the best results It’s best to coat everything but It’s not completely required. Theres so little current going through those pins and they are separated decently enough to prevent issue. However they may corrode over time and loose contacts and the connections will stop working until you clean them.

      I'm sure it wouldnt be hard to seal a GPS or a beeper but once you seal the beaper it probably won’t be load. The motors themselves are a great beeper. Not necessarily to seal USB port but wouldn't hurt. Yeah around the lens threads would help sealing but again not necessary.

    I've ordered a coupla tubes from your website for a non-drone or RC application. It's for 24Vdc LED beacons in an Oil & Gas Marine environment. These beacons don't have water ingress but the glass dome around the LED array condensates and the moisture is dripping down onto the PCB. I'm thinking a couple of coats of spray MG Chemicals 422C over entire PCB and then use FPV Worry Free on the areas where the condensation is most likely to drip onto the PCBs.

    • @brandan_fpv
      @brandan_fpv  Рік тому +1

      What website did you order from? I dont sell directly so you must have bought from one of my distributors. If I’m going to be completely honest the 422c should be all you need if It’s just condensation and a little but of water. The worry free is really good for completely sealing off the board for full submerging under water.

      Getting the waterproofing into india has been everything but trouble. Customs taking things, taxes, low shipping you name it and it went wrong. The coating I sent there too also seems to be very strange. It takes much much longer to cure and I’m not sure why. Send me a dm on Instagram and I’ll see if we can get you a refund. @brandan_fpv

      @o I believe some of the people in india had it cute but it took multiple days. It was one of the early batches and I’m not sure why it went runny. I’ve been doing tests and haven’t had any of the batches after that go runny. Time will tell I guess. The product is now about 1 year old.
      It cures with water so maybe mist it? I haven’t tried that though.

    Why mention conformal coat for the rx instead of using ur worry free to cover the rx like u did the fc. Always thought/thinking about conformal / silicon to water proof my builds. But thinking about if u have to get to area's needing repair thst cover in silicone. What u remove the coating with to get threw say if you need to repair a wire on a pad on fc etc. An like xt60,or analog cams wire harness that would be sealed up also right.like I said I really been think to do it for long time. But conformal or silicone or both I don't know.never really found full in depth video or articles that cover all in one.most I find are like this video.good content but so much left out for someone who never used conformal or silicone should both be used etc. An like all the little connections /headers, cam casing should they be opened an add some silicone to seal an Things like thst keep me from doing it cause it's never full covered in one article or video. I know this one was a promo short video but really not much help beside having more questions lol.hope u understand whst im meaning.

      It’s near impossible to cover every single detail about everything. Most people are looking for the basics and move on. I am in the process of making multiple new products and I will be making a full series of videos on each one for each application. You can remove the waterproofing with wd 40 contact cleaner however I’m in the process of releasing a product to remove it as well. I dont have any analog equipment anymore so I won’t be making any video regarding analog systems. Theres a few good videos out there but I totally understand where you are coming from.

      @Brandan FPV I completely understand with the time frame when making content.when I mention videos it was necessary meaning everything has to be shown just mentioning things u cant show like u said about not having analog gear no more.i have analog an digital builds mostly fly analog. I can still get a idea from your series your mentioning like how ever you show.having a build with 4 in 1 esc video would help to to show the hearder plug from fc to esc etc. You going to rampage I csnt wait.
