[Trainz 2019 Remake] Southern Pacific In The 1950s

- This is the remake of Ronthecyborg's Railfanning the SP in MSTS, but recreated in Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019! Except I had to extend a few shots a bit in order to show a bit more than what the original video had, and it has transitions this time!
Although this isn't 1080p, this is still one of the best revamp projects I've ever had the pleasure to finish so far.

Even though his video isn't 100% accurate, it's still worth watching, and one of the oldest videos on UA-cam.
FYI, the Cab Forward reskin seen in this video is private, and it’s payware, since I bought it from the Paul’s Trainz website. Therefore, I can't redistribute it. Same goes with the SP 4-10-2 locomotive also seen in this video, except it is no longer available on the Jointed Rail website. It used to be available, but not anymore. Faulty assets I guess. So yeah, don't ask me about where to download that one either. I understand that it is tempting to ask someone for rare stuff, but try to resist the temptation in doing so. Thank you.
This video took several weeks to finish, and a lot of storage space, hence the reason why this video is 720p instead of 1080p. I'll have to fix that in the near future.

I love how in the original video there was no Southern Pacific diesels available in MSTS at the time, he had to improvise. But in your remake you utilized them which makes this experience more accurate and enjoyable. And the six and five chimes are the icing on the cake. Well done!

There were a few Southern Pacific diesels available in MSTS back then, for example, there was an EMD E7 in daylight colors

Never thought I’ll see the AC3 model in TRS19.
I know, me neither.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, I reskinned the AC3 into the AC6 (if you look harder on the cab you’d notice) and I swapped the lead bogey from lilb’s AC-12 Cab Forward model.
Although I want to film some night shots with this model, but I can’t turn the lights on or off. Do you think there is a solution to that?
@@T128Productions maybe it has to do with the corona in the config? If so, I think you can remove the corona light kuid, but not sure.

@@T128Productions I almost forgot about that secondary six chime whistle that 4449 had up until 1990 I don’t know the exact year in the 1980 when she started using that whistle if anyone who knows feel free to comment below.

4100 be having steamy issues
I do like the remaster, but the chuffing noises and the whistles in the original one hit so different, also if im correct the first cab forward shown in the original video is also an ac-10 or ac-12, not an ac-3
You’re half right. In the original video, ronthecyborg used a different cab forward model for #4100 (which was actually an AC-4) but he also used another cab forward model #4285 (which is an AC-12) which I had to use Lilb’s original AC-12 model to change its number to 4216, which I didn’t know at the time was the wrong number. These mistakes will be corrected whenever I have time to work on yet another remake of the same video.
Also for the AC-3 model I used, that was the first model I ever bought from Paul’s Trainz, which I reskinned by myself. At least now I have a more accurate model of the old 4100 than what I made, lol.
@T128Productions ah thanks for clarifying dude, the cab of the cab forward in the original video in the crossing part looked like it was a little angular on the front, so I confused it with the later ac series of locomotives, I look forward to seeing the new remaster

That was a mistake on my part. I don’t think it really means anything, but I guess you could say it’s a Wake-Up Call, not an actual whistle signal.

Where is the 3 cylinder enginesound used on the 4-10-2 from? Sounds miles better than the original sound set it came with. Or is it a custom sound set?
I basically downloaded a random engine sound from the DLS (I forgot which one it was) and used it on the 4-10-2.

I believe it was . If that doesn’t work, then you can just use the 2-cylinder engine sound instead. That is, if you have the same locomotive.

Yes it is a custom route.

I would say that this is a generic route, which isn’t really based on any existing rail line. I guess you can say that this is a haven for SP Steam Enthusiasts, since the majority of this route is mostly SP based. By that I mean based on most of the SP routes like the coastline for example, and somewhat of an inspiration from watching The Full Bucketniers, and creating my version of the Full Bucket Line, even though it’s not the exact same thing as the original MSTS route.
is it on microsft store?
I actually got it from the Trainz website, and the game is compatible with both Microsoft (Windows particularly) and iMac computers. I only use my iMac so I don’t really know too much about Microsoft.
What the kuid for the 4449 whistle
It’s easier if you look for the name of said whistle. Just go to Pack 2 and look for “SP #4449’s 1990 Whistle V1.”
Why is that train so slow? 1:25
That’s because when I first bought this model I had no idea how to control the second set of driving wheels and keep them from speeding, which is why you hear the chuffing sounding more like a rumble.
And here’s another reason: it’s supposed to be a recreation of an old MSTS video, and part of it includes a Cab Forward (numbered 4100, which is not the same model as I used in this video since mine is actually an AC-3, not the original which is an AC-4) which both trains are roughly going at the same speed, or should I say, the same rate the piston rods are moving.
How did you get these locos. please tell me or I will be depressed for 57 seconds exact.

- Ok so this is where I got the Cab Forward:

(The original number is 4294, but in the video I reskinned it to make it say a different number by using Krita, a free alternative to Adobe Photoshop.)
- The F Units, and the SP 4-6-2 locomotives were from the download station (you can also download them from the Trainz Forge website.
- The SP Daylight train I used is also available on Trainz Forge, but not on the DLS.
- The SP 4-10-2 Postwar used to be on Jointed Rail (there also used to be a Prewar variant in the same website) but sadly they’re not available anymore. This was an old payware model which was sent to me on Discord (I will not provide a link so that way any pesky “kid” can spam whatever they want, or even annoy anyone reading these “comments”)
Sorry bud, but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. If ya missed it, there’s no going back. What’s done is done. Hopefully, Jointed Rail will make these models available for downloading once again. Even better, to update the textures.
- The other Cab Forward I used (the AC-3 which I reskinned to the AC-4) is available on Paulz Trainz’s website.

The rolling stock were a combination of the ones downloaded from the DLS, purchased from K&L Trainz (included with the SRC M class, and the H&W 2-8-0 which also came with some rolling stock) and the ones from a route which I purchased called Season Town, which is still available for purchasing on the Trainz official website.
