This has to be hands down, the largest and most anticipated pack you've ever done. Glad to see some NS making a comeback, especially 611. 6:17 I thought the Polar Express 6 chime was came from SP Flat-Top 6 Chime that was recorded from McCloud 18. But, it was a Nathan 6 Chime the whole time.
@@MilwaukeeRoadJames I think you're right about it. I changed my mind it wasn't McCloud 18 according to StormySteamie. It could be other steam locomotives like the Southern Pacific ones. From my opinion, I don't know...
When I saw The Polar Express and Nathan 6 chime under it, I instantly downloaded it, the PM 1225 or Polar Express is going to have it whistle changed again. Thanks again for quality whistles Fast Freight.
Also, for the Niagara, I just chose a different whistle basically. Not to mention that Grand Canyon #4960 once wore a Hancock 3 chime whistle, which apparently was used on a New York Central locomotive. At least that’s what I know from one of the comments featuring various whistle of 4960 which is now deleted.
The locomotive shown at 5:00, yes that’s indeed a GS-1. However, the whistle is from GS-5 #4458, which was later used on GS-4 #4449 from the late 1980s up until 1990 when the whistle was reportedly stolen, and later recovered for quite some time. That same whistle was used on ATSF #2926 when it’s whistle was being restored. The SP whistle sounded way different compared to how it used to sound in the 1980s since it has aged quite a bit, but it’s now in the hands of a private owner.
1) Here’s proof that the 765 wore a Star Brass 5 chime whistle: A) ua-cam.com/video/YNDAZYUg8iE/v-deo.html B) ua-cam.com/video/Y0UyxlcghxU/v-deo.html 2) Sure I can, if I can find the right video for that. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s Baldwin Locomotive Works #60,000’s whistle, if I’m not mistaken.
Actually, 611's 2015 whistle is not the same one used from 2016 to 2022. She first wore Cheri George’s Hancock whistle during 2015 until it swapped out in favor of Scott Lindsay's whistle in 2016. The latter whistle was removed in 2023 in favor of a brand-new Hancock whistle.
Just open the config file and look for where it says “kuid” and look for the number right next to it. Press Ctrl + C to copy it, and open up another config but from any locomotive you want to use these whistles and horns on, and press ctrl + V to paste it on the kuid number you don’t want on your locomotive of choice. That is, where it says “hornsound.” Also, underneath where it says “kuid-table” you also have to find the same kuid number and paste the same number you previously pasted. If you don’t, let’s say that if the hornsound is an “unknown asset” the locomotive won’t work unless if you get rid of the old kuid number.
You mean 5:47? I think I got it from a third party website. I forgot what the name of it was, but it also had a decent amount of Amtrak content available on that website. Also, the coach in question is actually a railway post office (RPO).
It’s easy to configure your keyboard (choosing which key on the keyboard to use for a secondary whistle) but to use while running the engine, that I don’t know. I would say for a beginner to copy-paste the kuid number of the secondary whistle on any locomotive which already has the secondary whistle function (like the NKP Berkshire for example) But if I had to make a new script from scratch in order to make any regular locomotive asset like Trainz Forge’s NP 328 which doesn’t have a secondary whistle function to begin with, that I don’t know how to do it, nor do I have the right software.
It’s a private model a friend sent me via Discord. I won’t post a link because I don’t trust certain users knowing that they might be spamming a bunch of nonsense and that could be a real pain in the butt to deal with if you know what I mean.
@@T128Productions also wanted to ask because I never knew how, how do you change the secondary whistle for NKP berk? do you change it in the config table or is they're something else you have to change as wel if not where do I change it?
That can be pretty confusing, but that whistle is not Chinese. Even though China made the exact copy of a Star Brass 5 chime, I found the audio file which does not say that it’s Chinese.
As long as you have the game, then of course you can download it. Which game should I recommend? Why it’s Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019. It’s also called the New Cast Nathan P5, which were also the same horns used on the Norfolk Southern railroad. Same goes with a handful of diesels from Australia as well. Now that I think about it, a few Shortline railroads in the US as well as in Canada use the same type of horns. I’m not sure if the same applies for the ones in Mexico (and other railways in South America) but I could be wrong.
