Mosfet half bridges that protect the load are a great idea, every laptop should have them! They can also signal a fault condition back to the controller.
23:55 thank you for this information. I didn't know about that. My rule is to never ever check resistance with power supply or battery connected no matter how tired /lazy I am, so I never had this case, but anyway it is good to know.
Those chips are found on the new Xboxs for powering the APU and I've had a few to be shorted yet the console is fine, replace and it works perfectly again.
I had this same model and every battery I bought for it, windows and the bios would not recognize the battery as charged, yet it would run from the battery!? I couldn't update it's bios, so I gave it away for free. I could not find the problem. Bought an Asus Rog, no issues. Thanks, Sorin.
Mr Sorin, please may I ask which range do you use for testing resistance? Is it dependent on the components being tested? Very interesting vids, never stop learning.
Hello. I'm watching from Korea. I have a question for you. After connecting the laptop dc charging terminal, + terminal resistance? What do I do when I put it somewhere and check if there is any part that generates heat? I have a broken laptop now, so I changed the MOSFET recklessly, but the symptoms are not resolved and I'm frustrated, so I'm looking for a video of the teacher. Equipment includes a fan, an iron, a DC power supply, and a thermal imaging camera.
Some IC need to have power lines in correct order if you put power in incorrect or have rules that one voltage line cannot be higher then other you brake it and you have dead ic !!!
Hey my Hp pavilion gaming laptop ryzen 5 5600h with Gtx 1650 turn off randomly and turn back on when Plugged in during normal woks like word, excel and browsing not happen while playing games or in heavy tasks and it happens every single day i don't know whats the problem can you suggest me the possible reason of this
If you fix friends, acquaintance computers you will get clients via word of mouth. You can also popularise in facebook, whatsapp groups etc! If you are good, you will attract clients like flies to jaggery!😀Only accept good clients, not misers on payment!😀 Good Luck!😂😁😀
This laptop computer that this customers kept on getting hooked on the new PC games called skull and bones, This is why people kept on playing this types of games so far of too many games play it will ruin the mosfits chips out-DLH
Sorin you mudt improve quality of your camera. I dont know why but even on highest toutube quality settings , motherboard parts are blurry and not recognisable. Comparing to other repair channels here i can clearly see even part numbers on mosfets!
@@electronicsrepairschool depends on the pads. Soft, 2mm. Hard, 1.75. Both sides the same I think. Also if done perfectly right, it will hover at around 80 to 90, basically it should be about the same as the hot spot.
Mr Sorin is the best teacher no doubt

Wow very interresting thank you !!!!
Sorin what do you think about adding aluminium heatsinks to CPU mosfets? You know the small ones with thermal tape.
They start to learn finaly , hope that save gaming laptop
Electronics rule no : 1
DO NOT MEASURE RESISTANCE UNDER VOLTAGE AT ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
CPU "Ha! I am not dead yet! Who is dodgy now!?"
Sorin, what camera do you use as the top cam? The one you use to zoom in and out of the workspace!?
nice fit sorin
nice repair
Hello Mr Sorin . I have the same issue . Can i use bridge frome the next coil ?
Some IC need to have power lines in correct order if you put power in incorrect or have rules that one voltage line cannot be higher then other you brake it and you have dead ic !!!
That laptop do cost a bomb! More expensive than some gaming laptops!
My asus zenbook 13 flip it has a cracked screen and it is not turning on is it comp broken or is there a way to use/fix
multimetre BEEP is very loud check the input cirquit
Great Sorin😅😅😅
That was awesome. .
Or a T-shirt with the legend “who’s dodgy “😂
you had 1 ohm after removing drmos because of the heat after desoldering - try heating a cpu with soldering station and then measure its resistance
he demonstrated that at the end of the video.
Maybe you should watch the whole video before commenting. He explained exactly this in the video.

All are nice :) One question, thermal pads recommendation&size for 3090FE? From some reason the vram is going up to 100 Thank you

Can you keep beeper volume down Sorin? It's too loud and pretty annoying
it's for those that tend to sleep during the lesson. :))

Second... 😅
Its very dangerous to inject voltage in CPU with external power supply, because phases doesnt match. It can burn processor easily.
Not for Sorin. He has a proper calibrated external power supply.
