Just discovered your stuff a couple of weeks ago and already purchased nearly everything you have available for the 661. What can i say so far? Major improvement on nearly everything you can imagine: saw is more aggressive, got more power, more torque with the bark box and easier to adjust the saw with your 3 point dogs. Can't wait for that filter cause i think Stihl just made a big mistake with how the stock filter is designed. All i can say, keep going with inventing and offering these amazing parts. Thanks Gordy and everybody who is involved to make our saws more reliable, more powerful and more fun to work with. Greetings fom germany ;)
The first thing I did to my 661 was changed from the quarter turn to the old style screw on for the air filter nut. I do like how it seals just like the HD2 filters not requiring a heavy glaze of oil to seal against the base and fits under the stock cover.
@@westcoastsaw1368 yeah, no doubt. I know I had bought a Honda push mower and I hadn't had it a couple of weeks and mowed with it a few times and it started cutting out and dying and the last thing I thought of was checking the air filter because of the short time I had it. It wasn't like a had a lot of dirt flying. I had to go get a new filter and it was great! That was a big lesson for me on the effects of air filters on some motors. Great job and congrats on the success! That's always a good feeling when you are doing what you do, Gordy. I'm hoping to be able to get another chainsaw next year, and I definitely am thinking of the 500i now. Hey, any update on when you might continue the talk on bar size and the types of chains for the use and bar sizes? I thought the last one was great! Thanks!
Hey Gordy this is Mike from Louisiana love all your gear! I’ll be ordering some filters soon! I’ve always ran a 661 but I am fixing to go buy a 500i and I’ll be ordering all the goodies that go with it from you! Thanks for the great products!
Awesome work Gordy! All your products are top notch and i recommend everyone I can to you! I love every peice of equipment from you guys (and I have ALOT)
Same characteristics of a max flow but you can use the original cover, nice! I know if gordy sells it, it’s great product that works under heavy continuous real world use. I have the 3 point wcs dogs, upgraded suspension kit and bark box for my 500i and I wouldn’t run it any other way. Thanks again Gordy!
Sweet design fo sure 👍… On the East Coast we get by with hopped up 60cc and 70cc saws as we only need 20-24” bars for 90% of da work. I see you have a filter for the 572xp already , were u to come out with a similar unit for the 562xp with better flow / protection than stock I’d reckon they’d sell faster then chit thru a tin horn
Glad to see this Gordy, I have used the other two popular oiled filter options and both have their issues, it looks like you solved them! Question, is there any way to test air flow between stock, WestCoast Saw and the other two oiled filter out there? Would be curious to know the efficiency of each. Keep up the strong work!
One step for better results is to use a light coat of grease where the foam meets the plastic of the 500i. Been a dirt bike common practice for decades. I’m going to order this filter, bark box and dog just so I have an excuse to buy the saw.
I would recommend using proper foam filer oil it’s Going to work like it should and keep particles out of your motor, which can get expensive oils cheap compared to replacing pistons and cylinders
When a company sells you a 1800+ dollar saw and need to buy a air filter assembly to keep engine clean you might have to tell the R&D dept to go sign up for unemployment!
Been waiting to GORDY..YOU ARE THE MAN LOVE YOUR FILTERS AND PARTS.. ..wouldn't run my 462 500i 661 or Any other without them ..love the 462uni filters oil..
If it's this easy why didn't the army of German engineers (with million dollar CFD computers) at Stihl come up with it? Wondering what the downside is.

Sweet set up i went with a velocity stack and a uni filter on my ported 400c an 500i both
need one of these for the 461 now!
Just purchased mine. Thanks I ended up taking my other aftermarket filter because I was ingesting too much crap. Glad you came up with the solution!!
You won’t be disappointed with this. Let me know how it does for you
Ordering one now. Just need this for the 461 now. 💥
This air filter really is a big deal, Gordy! Awesome!
Very! It’s been prolly the hardest thing to make to date there is a lot to learn with foam

Sthil could stand to learn a few things from you!
Awesome man! I will be ordering some soon
Awesome work Gordy! All your products are top notch and i recommend everyone I can to you! I love every peice of equipment from you guys (and I have ALOT)
Much appreciated!
Thank you Mr Gordy. Do you do a 562xp filter? They don't work very well from factory.
Can't wait to order one for my 661.

Glad your happy with our gear
Does the 500i compensate, or does it need to be retuned with the Barkbox?
Nice job Gordy!!
Finally!!!! I’ve been waiting for this filter for a long time!

Good job Gordy. Will the bushing wbe sold separately?
No it’s only made to work with the kit
Will you make any for older saws eg 660/066?
Very slick
Damn ..bought the original 1...need to upgrade
How soon before you have your own line of saws?
Gonna get one for my 500i!! Gordy I have an old school 066 from my father can I get it ported by you?
I am sorry I am no longer porting
Got anyone you can recommend?

I’m going to order this filter, bark box and dog just so I have an excuse to buy the saw.
The way the cage pushes down on the foam and how wide the bottom is there is no need for the grease on this settup so one less step for yea 👍
Well shoot I wish these had been available a couple months ago when I just bought a MaxFlow setup and trimmed the cylinder cover to fit it haha
Hell yeah!
Need some suspenders Gordy!!!
Let's go I can't wait to get some
You’ll be happy this settup is the ticket she don’t stop 👌
@westcoastsaw1368 yeah two more weeks I'm going to order three of them I have three 500s I can't wait
Ordered!!!
Thank you partner 🎉we will get her headed your way
how long have you been running chainsaws
what mix do you use for your chainsaws
Awsome
How can I ported an Ms 661... But I don't know where to start, it's a work saw... I would like some tips!
Is there any particular type of oil to use (old engine oil perhaps) or do you still need to use that expensive stuff?

👍🏻 🍺 here’s to hoping you have a good weekend
They both keep the engine clean, its just that the oiled foam filter needs less maintenance
how long have you been runing chainsaws
Oh a few years really don’t cut all that much just get out when I can to test products and have some fun
Make it fit the 066/660 please
Will you make these for smaller chainsaw at all? 261, 362 462 etc?
We have filters for all those models already 👍
Oh cool I did not know you had any like that.
do you ship it to the uk
Yes
Chainsaw
Love Gordy, but I will never oil a filter. Just one more thing I have to do all the time, I’d rather buy a saw, when it blows up in five years
If you make one for the 881 lemme know
For the algorithm
Word is y’all might have something new for the 261 🤔
Stihl needs a husky engineer 😂
Of course I already bought a max flow 🤣
If it's this easy why didn't the army of German engineers (with million dollar CFD computers) at Stihl come up with it? Wondering what the downside is.
Because people at a computer don't come into real world problems😂 hands on
