The first appearance to the public in toy and video game form with the yellow lightsaber. His relationship with Ahsoka Tano compared to Anakin Skywalker. When I was a kid I scream in the theater "Noooo" when he died in Revenge of the Sith. He barely had scenes in the prequels but in my view he was the bad ass looking jedi thats mysterious like Boba Fett.
When James started talking about "missing George's touch" in Episode VII and had that heartfelt and fond remembrance of the brilliant man that started it all I almost teared up and cheered out loud. Very well said, James! And TRUST me when I say that you aren't "one of the only ones who felt that way". There are still millions of us who feel the same way. Thanks for your awesome words!

The Mortis trilogy was my favorite story arc ever. Seeing the foreshadowing events are just incredible. Seeing Sam Witwer as The Son, Adrienne Wilkinson who played Eve in Xena The Warrior Princess as the Daughter, Mark Hamill as the dark force type entity were just great.
Hello ColliderVideos. Your video was brought to my attention today and I just wanted to clear something up regarding the billboard that was put up in April last year. (Should be easy enough as I was the one who ran the campaign for it!) We are not asking for things to be made canon again. That ship sailed years ago. What we are seeking is new stories in the Legends timeline. These are to remain part of that timeline only and are to be made while "canon" stories are still being made. In other words new Star Wars Legends and new Star Wars "canon" or something for all fans of the franchise to look forward to. (If you haven't noticed, a sizable portion of the fandom remains disinterested in what Disney is doing but would be very interested in more Star Wars Legends!) Also to be clear we are not seeking fan fiction. We are seeking an official continuation by licensed Star Wars authors/publishers as it was prior to April 2014. Fan fiction would never be recognized as an official continuation to licensed stories released by Lucasfilm between 1976 and 2014. Hope this helps clears things up a bit. :)

holy freaking cow how the hell did i not see this episode of Jedi Council? i loved it so much it was my favorite so far because im the biggest fan of Ahsoka Tano, she was so good in clone wars and in rebels and i loved the Ahsoka novel it was so perfect and true to the character and answered so many questions that i had (minus the big question regarding what happened after the season 2 finale of rebels) and i listened to the audio book so i was treated to Ashley Eckstein narrating it and that really enhanced experiencing a truly genuine story about Ahsoka which made me fall in love with the character even more, so to get to see Ashley Eckstein on the Jedi Council was so awesome and special to me plus seeing James Arnold Taylor was very cool, and hearing the two of them talk about working on clone wars was also really special, so thank you guys very much over @ collider even if this video is 8 months old it was still amazing for me watching it for the first time, im a big fan of your youtube channel i watch it daily keep up the awesomeness and thanks again. - Nicholas Lee - P.S .i definitely need to see a live action Ahsoka Tano movie with Ashley as Ahsoka within the next 5 years, make it happen people also rogue one was amazing RIP Carrie Fisher, our princess will be missed May the force be with us

The GiveUsLegends thing isn't about making Legends part of the new canon universe, it's about continuing it as a separate universe or timeline. I can understand it, people miss these characters and want them to continue.
+N00dleMeister You don't get it. There were many stories left untold. Many questions left unanswered. That's like reading a novel to 80% and then it just suddenly ends. And that's just terrible.
Totally missed the point on the billboard. None of them visited the website. No one wants the Expanded Universe as canon. They want it as an alternate story. There's tons of Legends books mixed right in with the new stuff in stores and no one is confused about it. No one in the movement wants the New Canon to "go away". They're fine with it. But just like we had "Infinities" stories back in the day, we've seen it done before. So why not do it again?
+Matt wilkins Mark actually suggested that, which is ironic seeing as he is the one who never reads the books, because he just generally prefers movies (no hate for the books). He seemed to understand the point of the billboard. Kristian is a huge fan of all the pre Phantom menace EU in particular, he has lots of knowledge of it. I think he just didn't understand this situation. He's not an EU hater or anything, he loves a lot of the characters.
I think there's just a miscommunication between EU fans and new canon fans. There are fans who have said that they want the old EU made cannon again and destroy the new canon. I've read several of those comments. However, if the majority of these fans are like as you say, then I got no problem with them finishing those stories.
Or just continuing them as well. I got nothing against the EU, I haven't read many of the future books mainly because I've had them spoiled to me, but hey I know there are several people who love them so why not.
I'm a huge fan of both of these amazing people. Met Ashley at the last star wars convention which was a amazing experience with my family. I especially didn't know Mr. Taylor was most of the voices from my childhood cartoon shows and games. He's an amazing voice actor, wish I could have met and talked a little with him.

If you look at the video of the princes lightsaber fighting the black lightsaber in question is Kylo's. You can see on the table a full version of both Kylo's and Anakin's with the blade then next to them one's without the blade. Kylo's just looks different from the side because you can't see the cross guards.
"it's too confusing'' Well, maybe for you. Though i guarantee fans aren't dumb, and can tell which is and isn't canon. There's a reason for the LEGENDS label on it. But, we don't want legends to be canon again. Who said anything about that? All we want is for them to continue it under the LEGENDS banner, as an alternate universe.
+Manny Gober Yeah but it seems like their forgetting all the species in the past movies. I didn't see ONE alien species from a previous movie in The Force Awakens and at a place like Maz's castle, there should have been at least some.
I agree with Mr. JA Taylor. It really doesn't matter if Rey's parents are someone we know already or not. What matters is that Rey finds her family or learns the truth about why she was on Jakku. Personally, I hope she isn't a Skywalker because we have too many of them. Star Wars isn't only about the Skywalkers anymore. Its basically about the whole Galaxy in which it takes place and can come from any being's point of view that resides there. That's one of the things that makes it so awesome. I honestly hope we've never met her parents before and that Snoke is someone new and we can just basically have a clean slate. Edit: Also Ashley and JA Taylor are both freaking amazing.
There's going to be things I liked better in the old EU. there's also going to be A LOT of GOOD stuff in the EU and they've already started showing that they can pick things from the old EU and include them in some way, when they want to. I like the way Disney is handling it, so far. They have a tighter control on it and have a direction they want to go. I liked a lot of the now Legends stuff, but it's not gone. It played out. Over a couple decades of storytelling, it covered the history and the future. It would be very hard to make new stories fit within that framework and still have freedom to tell the stories they want to tell. It's also a lot of baggage for people that aren't invested in anything outside of the movies. They are doing it right. Episode 7 needed to be a jumping on point connecting to what people in the general audience knew to be the last thing to happen. The Legends stuff is still plentiful and still exists for consumption. just consider it to be a parallel universe where some things happened similarly but the timeline diverged a bit in the past and future, with the general events of the original trilogy being the anchor point.

Totally missed the point on the billboard. None of them visited the website. No one wants the Expanded Universe as canon. They want it as an alternate story. There's tons of Legends books mixed right in with the new stuff in stores and no one is confused about it.
No one in the movement wants the New Canon to "go away". They're fine with it. But just like we had "Infinities" stories back in the day, we've seen it done before. So why not do it again?
+Matt wilkins Mark actually suggested that, which is ironic seeing as he is the one who never reads the books, because he just generally prefers movies (no hate for the books). He seemed to understand the point of the billboard. Kristian is a huge fan of all the pre Phantom menace EU in particular, he has lots of knowledge of it. I think he just didn't understand this situation. He's not an EU hater or anything, he loves a lot of the characters.
I think there's just a miscommunication between EU fans and new canon fans. There are fans who have said that they want the old EU made cannon again and destroy the new canon. I've read several of those comments.
However, if the majority of these fans are like as you say, then I got no problem with them finishing those stories.
Or just continuing them as well. I got nothing against the EU, I haven't read many of the future books mainly because I've had them spoiled to me, but hey I know there are several people who love them so why not.

I'm a huge fan of both of these amazing people. Met Ashley at the last star wars convention which was a amazing experience with my family. I especially didn't know Mr. Taylor was most of the voices from my childhood cartoon shows and games. He's an amazing voice actor, wish I could have met and talked a little with him.

No offense to anyone but when people think of the EU, why does no one ever refer to Karen Traviss's great republic commando books. They always seem to get sidelined by Plagueis, post episode VI stuff? I just feel weird.

If you look at the video of the princes lightsaber fighting the black lightsaber in question is Kylo's. You can see on the table a full version of both Kylo's and Anakin's with the blade then next to them one's without the blade. Kylo's just looks different from the side because you can't see the cross guards.
"it's too confusing'' Well, maybe for you. Though i guarantee fans aren't dumb, and can tell which is and isn't canon. There's a reason for the LEGENDS label on it. But, we don't want legends to be canon again. Who said anything about that? All we want is for them to continue it under the LEGENDS banner, as an alternate universe.

I agree with Mr. JA Taylor. It really doesn't matter if Rey's parents are someone we know already or not. What matters is that Rey finds her family or learns the truth about why she was on Jakku. Personally, I hope she isn't a Skywalker because we have too many of them. Star Wars isn't only about the Skywalkers anymore. Its basically about the whole Galaxy in which it takes place and can come from any being's point of view that resides there. That's one of the things that makes it so awesome. I honestly hope we've never met her parents before and that Snoke is someone new and we can just basically have a clean slate.
Edit: Also Ashley and JA Taylor are both freaking amazing.
There's going to be things I liked better in the old EU. there's also going to be A LOT of GOOD stuff in the EU and they've already started showing that they can pick things from the old EU and include them in some way, when they want to.
I like the way Disney is handling it, so far. They have a tighter control on it and have a direction they want to go. I liked a lot of the now Legends stuff, but it's not gone. It played out. Over a couple decades of storytelling, it covered the history and the future. It would be very hard to make new stories fit within that framework and still have freedom to tell the stories they want to tell. It's also a lot of baggage for people that aren't invested in anything outside of the movies. They are doing it right. Episode 7 needed to be a jumping on point connecting to what people in the general audience knew to be the last thing to happen.
The Legends stuff is still plentiful and still exists for consumption. just consider it to be a parallel universe where some things happened similarly but the timeline diverged a bit in the past and future, with the general events of the original trilogy being the anchor point.
