Yep. Vast empty open fields are the outside(external) mirror or manifestation of inner space/peace. It is easier to find or reconnect with that part of you when you are in an open vast empty environment. Well, you can find it in even the busiest and noisiest of places (it's underneath the noise and the aglomeration) but it's easier to recognize when you're in nature or in an open vast empty space.

I was in St Petersburg a month ago, and took a lot of Yandex Taxis, which were often driven by Kirghiz who were so friendly and good conversation partners, even if their way of driving was often « special » I’d say haha.

I bought a beautiful hand made stained glass window with a bouquet of flowers on it as a gift for my wife, and the artist who made it was in Kyrgyzstan. I bought it through Etsy and had no idea that it was being shipped from that distant country. Needless to say, the window is absolutely beautiful, my wife loves it, and the man who made it (Ivan), is top notch. That country is a mystery to me, and I'm so glad you and Kat travelled there for this video. I have that country on my bucket list to visit.

Oh my God, I was just in Bishkek 3 weeks ago and has explored and hiked their National Park. Kyrgyzstan is indeed a beautiful country and extremely underrated. The Burana tower was a bit disappointing but still shows its incredible history. Keep travelling Ben, you deserve it after your exhausting stint in India.

Loved visiting Lake Issuk Kul 16 years ago or so. The mountains are stunning, the lake was freezing cold even in summer, and the people were so friendly. What a lovely country.

Good stuff. I do love Kyrgyzstan! Been a couple times. Visited Issyk Kul on our way back from the mountains on one occasions. In the summer the beaches are busy and the waters good for swimming. Bishkek is actually an amazing place for a pissup too! Most exciting of all, some of my footage got used in a advert for horse milk vodka, so now I'll forever be associated with that nutty textural lactic lusciousness 🤣
