Hello mate. Thanks for sharing this. I've just opened a cash isa and stock isa 2 weeks ago, too (shame it's now dropped to 4.9%, but still good!) Odd how this video has popped up now! I bought shares in NASDAQ and S&P500 also. Not doing great, but the (very) long game is in mind
@@BB-ry2gp the algorithm knows! 😂 Yes it is a shame about the drop, but it's still good in my opinion. Sounds like a good mix, hope it does well for you. Thanks for commenting 🙏
@@michael43567 thanks! I did not know this 👍 I like to keep the two separate as I can clearly see invested Vs uninvested. But it's good to know I don't need to manage it as closely now. Appreciate this 🙏
@@tlsimpsonenterprises thank you bro. Hopefully some people can take advantage of the account! Appreciate the support, looking forward to today's episode about your time in Bulgaria.
No worries at alI bro! I believe Trading 212 is international too (for investment purposes) so looking forward to hear in future how your stocks are performing over time!
I love the flexible T212 ISA. Like you said, the 4.9% interest earned on uninvested money is a dream. For that reason I have the majority of my money in there rather than my bank account
Vanguard S & P 500 has high ter fees. Which is basically the management fee for that index fund. There are other providers that have lower fees for the exact same index fund. Then one you have has a ter fee of 0.15. There are options that are 0.3 and are the exact same.
@@danilasavelev6775 thanks for highlighting this. I will be sure to have a look around and see if I can better set up my portfolio to minimise fees. Appreciate the comment 👍
good pick on the ETF fund. But I will say, it was pointed out to me that the FTSE All-World fund (VWRL) is more safe than the S&P 500. Because the risk is spread not just across America's top companies, but also across the world. So ever since he told me that, I've invested in that fund rather than S&P 500. (Though I don't think you'll realistically lose with the S&P 500. If America falls, the rest of the world will probably fall too lol)
@@michael43567 awesome recommendation! I will look at this more in 2025 for sure. My main focus is the European property investment, but as that is hopefully due to complete in 2025 I will then move my focus on my investment funds. Knowledge like this is great to know ahead of this so thanks for sharing 🙏
@@TASwims it's a great question. I can't give financial advice. But in my own investments I haven't got any AI. I personally invest in property and a standard S&P 500 as you've seen. Outside of this it's pension and then investing in my own development to increase my earning potential. AI is definitely an interesting proposition, I will investigate in future and report back in upcoming videos. Thanks for commenting 👍
@@LawrenceTimme agree, I put out a community post when it was announced 😅 it's a shame, but these things are always on flux. It's still a competitive product as you say, I will keep an eye out and it I change mine I will for sure update the channel. Appreciate the comment 🙏

5:44 It is also possible to keep that money in your stocks & shares ISA uninvested. You still reap the 5% (or nowadays 4.9%) interest

Great, informative video Courtney. Most people should bite your hand off at a 5% interest rate!

@CourtneyJonesFinancial no problem. I agree with that prioritisation tbf.
Would AI be a good first investment? I’ve never invested but wouldn’t mind trying as long as it’s something worthwhile

Since you made this they have announced they are changing it to monthly and lowered the rate to 4.9%. still decent, but it's Definitely a downgrade 🙁
