I have a MacBook and not sure what a downloader is or where to find jdownloader. need to pull 4 vods from kick and put them onto ssd. I can get j downloader and do that?
as long as you can get both JDownloader and Google Chrome you should be able to use this method.

Pretty sure JDownloader now contains malware. Will this work with other download managers?
Xtreme Download Manager seems to be the best alternative. Faster speeds and available on Microsoft Store.
Just record in obs while streaming.
Some PC setups might not have the capabilities to do so while streaming.

I downloaded JDownloader on my PC, and then I get a notification saying that a device from Hong Kong has connected to my personal internet. I Uninstalled it immediatly. I'm not sure it was this app specifically, but all my other apps are very safe and this was the only sorta suspicious one. be careful

you could use software to show chat on screen and next time you are going to also stream the chat on screen and will be able to download video with chat on top

@@ZaneKaneOnAir hi mate sometimes when i download a vod it ends up converting to aac instead of mp4 which is super annoying i waited 3 hours for one video to download and i couldnt even use it, i did it again and the exact same thing happened and i wasted 6 hours of my day, can you tell me why this is happening? ive converted a few vids into mp4 already and followed the same steps each time but maybe im making some mistake?

Kick does not have a DVR system in their Live Stream code so rewinding VODs LIVE or downloading VODs LIVE is not possible. An alternative would be recording the Stream VOD directly to your computer through OBS.
Jdownloader2 looks kinda sus😅
It's an free official program that is used by many. There are probably other options this is just the one I have used to also download UA-cam videos at MAX Quality too.

I do not believe so. If you want Video from your Stream LIVE you will need to Record it on your end in OBS.

I just downloaded a stream vod this morning. It may have been an issue with the Kick servers due to them being down last night.
