@@SAsaiyajin Just saying If a 10 year old game finally running well on a console is a big thing, that's pretty emberrassing. I'm hoping Switch 2 can at least Go PS4pro Power
It's kinda curious how Nintendo released a huge DLC chock-full of classic tracks for MK8DX relatively close to the release of the next Mario Kart. I believe that the reason is that the new Mario Kart will not have _any_ classic tracks! Everything will be new and designed for the 24 racers in mind. Maybe some tracks will be inspired by old tracks in layout and theming, but no old tracks will appear without heavy modifications.
I'm thinking the same. People say how can you even improve the current form except better graphics etc but imagine redoing the whole concept and making it even more in depth with longer tracks, different physics, pit stops etc. Basically a different game. I can't wait to get my hands on it!!
Hopefully those Switch 1 games get some kind of upgrade to Switch 2 like some PS4 games got free upgrades for PS5. Although, I could see Nintendo re-releasing BOTW or Smash Ultimate with all the DLC included. As for the launch games, maybe Wind Waker HD, TP HD,, another 1, 2 Switch & Arms 2 seems pretty likely because of the Experience event. And I think a new 3D Mario's coming since it's the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros.
One of the most exciting things about Switch 2 is going to be the launch lineup and quality of games hands down, especially for the first time in a long time with high quality 3rd party releases at launch.
I remember those rumors about a new Ridge Racer being developed by Bandai-Namco's subsidiary in Singapore, but that it was cancelled along with the first version of Metroid Prime 4 The thing is that Ridge Racer, despite originating on the arcades, had a close history with PlayStation, always functioning as a lauch title for their consoles, but that stopped during the PS4 era. There were some Ridge Racer games on Nintendo consoles, like the N64, DS and 3DS
I think Nintendo didn't gave as a exact release date because of the launch lineup. They are probably trying to get the best launch lineup before giving us an exact date.
Nah they’re just doing the same thing as the original Switch’s marketing. Release a trailer showing off the hardware and teasing some new games without elaborating then dropping a massive presentation a few months after detailing everything about the system, it’s price and release date set for 2-3 months after the presentation and showcase most of the first year software lineup.
I cant wait for switch 2 my predictions for launch titles be.... Mario kart 9 Splatoon 4 Luigi's Mansion 4 Metroid prime 4 beyond A new fire emblem game? Elden ring definitive edition Resident Evil 0 remake ( switch 2 exclusive)
Sounds like a reasonable llineup. I would think that there should be a couple live service games that are not on switch make it at launch like Zenless Zone Zero or Wurthering Waves.
My launch lineup is already solid, just missing AC Origins, Madden, and a current WWE game, or maybe I can get 25 rosters for 18, maybe they'll turn the servers back on for Switch 2 launch.
I have purposely not completed TOTK because when I throw it up on my 4k tv, it doesn’t look as nice as I’d want it to look. My hope (at the time of deciding to stop playing it) is that the “Switch 2” would upscale the game. A gamble, for sure. Hopefully I was right.
I don't think gameplay in the first look means launch title. There was also Mario Odyssey, Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in the Switch 1 first look in 2016. They ended up being Year 1 releases, but not Day 1.
I would find it very funny if Tekken 8 releases on Switch before Street Fighter 6 does. Aside from the rumors about the possibility of a Tekken port, the series' producer, Katsuhiro Harada, mentioned he wishes to release a mainline Tekken game on a Nintendo console. The developers at Bandai-Namco tried to port Tekken 7 on the original Switch, but it seems the version of Unreal 4 that powered the game was not compatible with the Switch, and I imagine the team didn't want to go out of their way like how Enix had rebuild Dragon Quest XI to run on the Switch
i saw Queen Abundance Secrets by Alex Lane mentioned so many times in youtube comments, and at first, i was like, “here we go, another overhyped book.” but after a while, i couldn’t ignore how much people were saying it changed their lives, so i finally read it. it’s actually really solid. it made me realize how much i wasn’t fully tapping into my energy and how that’s been holding me back. didn’t expect it to hit like that, but it did.
I’m really curious when Call of Duty will be released. I got rid of my ps4 when I got my switch cause I just really liked handheld gaming. Call of duty is really the main game that I miss playing.
Honestly I wasn't entirely sure about the whole backwards compatibility especially after seeing the disclaimer in the Switch 2 trailer, thanks for clarifying
Ocarina of Time Remake 🤞 you have to think they will have a sweet Zelda and not just game patches . Super Mario Galaxy 2 maybe the mouse will help Final Fantasy 7 and 15/16 Vision of Mana Dark Souls 2/3 Elden Ring Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and the 1st one Tekken 8 and Street fighter 6 Gears of War Ultimate/Halo/ COD Splitter Cell Sega will have a massive presence All the Yakuza Persona 3 Reloaded Metaphor Remake of the Sequel Zombie game shooter, plus Golden Axe Shinobi damn im thinking everything that didn't come out was because they waited for Switch 2
If that mouse feature is real, I would like for there to be a revamped and updated "Mario Paint" title. When it comes to Zelda games, I would like "Twilight Princess" to be on the system. Also, this might just be me, but I would like for Nintendo to get into discussions with Adult Swim Games, to acquisition all of the "Robot Unicorn Attack" games, put the collection on a cartridge, and release it on the Switch 2. ☕🤔 -L🌘E
Still playing RUA on my phone offline when I get nostalgic. I wish I had been able to open my old profile on my new phone. I lost a lot of levels due to needing to restart from 1.
I think 3d Mario is a pretty safe bet for this year along with Animal Crossing and Monolithsoft's next game. Less guaranteed but highly likely would be a new Kirby game, Donkey Kong, and Super Smash Bros. Providing nothing's happened it's reasonable to think the next Smash game will reuse assets from Ultimate just like it did from 4, and it's been 6 years since the last game at this point. So I would be shocked if the next one's not an early year 1 or year 2 game Ultimate came out pretty quick after 4. Anyways other games I'd like to see sooner than later are a new Star Fox game and the new Paper Mario game because I just really need to know if they've learned their lesson here. As for third party I fully expect Square, Atlus, Sega, and Capcom to have ports ready to go this year for Switch 2. I think it's reasonable to think we'll get new game announcements in the direct from these guys as well. Square, Atlus, and Sega especially have pretty empty slate's this year and I doubt that'll remain the case. Bandai namco should be a no brainer too at this point.
How long will they support the OG Switch with first party games? Will they quickly ignore that install base or will they hold themselves back trying to make most games run on both. Obviously, look/run better on the 2.
No one can say for sure... If you ask me personally it will be a similar situation to Nintendo's other predecessors. Nintendo usually moves fast to their next system, you will have some cross platform titles like you had with the Wii-U like Zelda Breath of the Wild, this time it will be most likely Metroid Prime 4, the Nintendo GameCube to the Nintendo Wii you had Zelda Twilight Princess... So you will have maybe 2 to 3 big huge cross platform titles but after that I can see Nintendo fully moving to the next system, remember the Switch 1 is over 8 years old, is time to move on.
@@samuelmartin117 a few big titles for another year, shifting to smaller scale titles and spinoffs of popular franchises, phased out totally in 3 years.
I agree that it will be foolish to ignore a current 146 million unit user group. I feel that first party will extend to about 3 years with most titles. There will still be exclusives that only play on Switch 2. Third parties will keep going until their titles stop moving copies on Switch. Maybe 5+ years especially if they can build for Switch 2 but dial it back for the original or if they can build for original but make a patch for Switch 2 upgrades. Indies and lower spec games go for longer before being exclusive. At least that is what makes sense to me.
Portable version of Elden Ring on the Switch 2, a great business proposition for Nintendo. There would be a record amount of switches being smashed against the wall and people needing to replace them. Having to replace the whole console instead of a controller would be an expensive proposition for the consumer 😂 1 copy of Elden Ring sold, guarantee two Nintendo Switch 2’s sold.
