Mary, I'm an RN and I've worked with tons of feeding tube insertions. You were great! It's a very difficult thing to have done and you were just amazing through it all. And of course Ollie was guarding you! Love you to tears!
wow peter you are amazing how you supported mary and stayed calm the whole way. I'm so sorry it wasn't easy mary but hopefully you will feel better over the next few days.
Trisha C he is an amazing hubby. my husband spent most of last summer in the hospital for a lot of issues and complications and it's tough to watch the person you love go through that. and sometimes no matter what you do you can't make them feel better, they get frustrated and angry and even though it's not at you - still hurts because all you want to do is make them feel better.

Deanna Goodfellow I don't believe you are too complicated to be loved. sometimes people just can't handle watching a loved one be sick and go through what they're going through. I don't know your full situation and I don't want to pry and make you upset. but it's hard, it's very hard. I wanted to give up and spend all last summer hiding in a closet crying but I knew I couldn't. I knew deep down my husband needed me, as well as our 3 year old son. I had to fully rely on God to get me and get my family through that, I couldn't do it by myself. I want to say that it broke your mom's heart as much as it did yours to have to do what she did. but never say no one could ever love you, you are loved :)
when i was little i couldn't stand having the NJ tube all the time so my parents were like "screw it were gonna get a G-tube". its been about 10 years of having that and a few months ago i got it removed because i started eating a lot to gain weight on my own. But earlier this year i had my appendix out and woke up with the tube back in my nose. I did not smile the rest of the hospital stay, even when i was happy. I'm so happy now that i can lay on my belly again without the tube! i hope you get better soon
i went straight to a g tube and im so happy i did. dont think i could bare to have an nj tube...sounds horrible. i have a button so its very hidden as well.

Moriganna Brown I totally agree!!! my husband is the same way just an awesome amazing man who himself is chronically ill but he always finds strength to care for and support me and I'm just so grateful!! Peter you really are amazing and I've spoken to so many of my single chronically ill friends who tell me how you make them believe that someone will actually love them and that there are good men out there! You 3 are such inspirations and I know that God has to be so proud of His children!! You guys rocked today!! I can't even imagine how difficult that was but you guys kicked butt!! 💪💪💪💪
Raven Moore I just love her grace! I would of been gagging and throwing up too. I thought it would buy me to see that but it didn't. It is their everyday life and I am happy they don't hide this fact. I love these people. Ollivier is so dedicated. I laughed when he came out from under Mary's blanket hahaha!
Moriganna Brown lol me too!! he did an awesome job! and I agree Mary has such grace and I'm honestly so grateful for my friend who recommended The Frey Life to me. I really hadn't watched vlogs on UA-cam before that mainly just music videos and how to instructional videos but their videos cheer me up n encourage me every day!! I'm so grateful they are willing to share their lives with us!! I was surprised at how much they showed in this video! I think it's so brave to show all of that and it's going to help so many!! We do what we have to do. But you handle everything so gracefully. My prayers are for you and of course Peter. Stay strong.
I love when Mary says (convincingly) "It's TOTALLY fine!", even when things seem really rough. It makes me tear up every time, and resolve to have a better attitude in my own life.
Thank you so so much for the gag + throw up warning! It may not seem like a big deal but it really is. For someone who has emetophobia (phobia of vomit) I was still able to enjoy your vlog like any other of your vlogs but was able to skip the bit that was extremely anxiety inducing. Much love to you two! You two are warriors!
aspiringfawn i have emetephobia too, i can watch but i can't listen also im afraid of throwing up or vomiting I've never vomited in my entire life (im 14 years old)

Wow, as a pediatric nurse we never place a NJ at the bedside, NG yes, NJ never! It's always done in fluoroscopy with some very light conscious sedation. I'm sorry that your experience was so miserable.
I wonder if doctors are like, you’re an adult now, you don’t need all the special things that children get, like sedation. Or pain meds. Excuse us, we adults still feel pain still feel discomfort, us being an adult doesn’t change that!
@@MelodySharp.I’m insanely late but I had to get a probe placed that’s very similar to a pediatric feeding tube when I was 16 and I couldn’t get any meds or sedation because it would mess with the test I had to have it for so stuff like that isn’t always down with sedation or anxiety meds even for peds
I fully agree and realised again how much I LOVE to hear Mary sing. You've got such a beautiful voice! Have a speedy recovery and a quick adaptation to the tube. @Peter: You are as much a trooper as Mary is, because of your support! Kudos to the both of you. 👍
Laura Gadille I did end getting sick. I thought I could handle it but nope. I had to have a test done for my following surgery. They needed to put a small tube up my nose and down my throat to measure the pressure when I swallowed. I couldn't do it. Three tries and they told me....your done. I was so upset with myself. Mary is a Rockstar!!!
Peter, you were appropriately named. You have been, and are, the rock for Mary to lean on. God brought you two together for a reason. Praying for both of you.
you remind me to be grateful for everything i have. youre such a strong person and im glad you have such a wonderful husband to support you! love you guys!
Mary, you ARE a rock star. And so is Peter for being such a supportive husband. And when you were in distress during the tube placement, your foot was pushing against Ollie. So he readjusted his position and instead of moving away, he pressed against you more. Soooo sweet.
Mary, I was at the same hospital as you are at right now when I had an NG tube placed. I not only threw up everywhere, but because they were holding my head straight on the bed I breathe in some of my stomach contents and got pneumonia. I think that procedure is one of the worst things a person can go through, but that is just my opinion. I hope you get better soon. Much love to you XOXO - Lauren
You're so awesome Mary, I'm so sorry that you have to go through all this. You looked so sad a worn out, I just want to reach through the screen and hug you. Hope you're feeling better soon and get used to the feeding tube xx
I can't stand Naso tubes. Whenever I talked it always wiggled in the back of my throat. To help adjust to the feeling, I recommend chloraseptic and/or cough drops. Which could help with the anxiety of it moving out of place and it numbs your throat and helps with the feeling. Chewing your food to the greatest extent will also help it go down easier. But even though it didn't go that well, you did better than me. It got to the point that they had to sedate me for my NJ and when I woke up I was coughing and it felt to weird to breathe so they gave my oxygen and I slept until my brother came to visit. I couldn't stand the feeling when I woke back up and they took it out and I agreed to switch from a G to a GJ tube cause they wouldn't let me leave until I was able to tolerate my feeds, cause I had no appetite. You've inspired me so much and you still do everyday.
My poor poor Mary😔😔. I literally just felt so so so horrible for Mary when she was just coughing and throwing up😢😢. I'm so sorry Mary but God can I just say that you are so INCREDIBLY strong. And your body is going to get used it- I promise! Remember it's a *foreign body* and your body isn't used to it but it WILL get used it and soon it'll feel like nothing at all. I'm so proud of you Mary. I can't tell you that enough! God, you're such an AMAZING soul and such a flawless example of what determination, struggle, hard work, and amazingness looks like. You are a ROCKSTAR! I would have been BALLING my eyes out getting that done and screaming. You deserve all the glory in this world. I love you Mary! Rest up! You got this girly. Ps- NICE puke🙌🏻😉. Good job girlfriend xoxoxo❤️. Sending all my love and prayers🙏🏻 to you!
I suffered through years of emotional and physical abuse from my father when I was a child. Because of this, I am very apprehensive around men and have severe anxiety issues. When I saw how supportive Peter was when the NJ was being inserted, how strong he was, how caring he was... it brought me to tears. Seeing how amazing he is with Mary gives me hope that someday I will be able to have a normal relationship with a man without living in fear. Thank you so much for being a positive influence in my mental health. ❤️
Good job Mary! Hope this tube can help you fight and keep doing what you think you can't do. Thanks for the throw up warning! Vomit can trigger panic attacks for me so I appreciate being able to skip that.
Mary you did great with the NJ Tube placement. Peter your truly amazing with Mary I wished there were more people like you in this world. Good Boy Ollie. Thank u for sharing that experience with us. Prayers for Mary. Hugs
I know. It feels like a heavy, coughy, thud at the back of your throat and you are a trooper! SO proud of you. dear Mary! You are brave to go through what you must and you face it all with such courage and bounce back with joy. Beautiful
Mary, I hope you know how incredibly strong, vibrant, courageous, and inspiring you are. You are a role model for women and men alike. Your positive attitude and joyful spirit is something ANYONE can look up to. And we, your viewers are right there with you and Peter all the way. And Peter, you are clearly a good and selfless man. You are also a role model for anyone who has ever loved another human being. You give without expecting anything in return and the content of your character runs deep. You guys are amazing. Watching your videos has brought so much to my life. Thank you.
Y'know why I love your blogs so much? You are real. You're not sugar coating anything, you say it how it is and you show us how difficult everything is. There are hard days, and you show those. I love you guys. You are both troopers and are a true inspiration.
You did well Mary. I just had a question - I know you need to take enzymes whenever you eat. With continuous feedings now, will you just take enzymes on a schedule now? I am praying for you.
She will need to periodically take enzymes throughout the day. Lipid digestion starts from the mouth and continues all the way through the small intestine. Pancreatic lipase plays a huge role in fat digestion in the small intestine. Her body needs the extra enzymes to make her supplemental food work to its full potential.
aww Mary!!! Keep fighting! you did amazing! P.S. Thank you for not editing the placement out. It was interesting to see how it was placed, and the puking is REAL LIFE!
Man, talk about in health and sickness...Peter, you are a rock. You were right up in there with Mary knowing exactly what she needed. Mary, you did an amazing job. You two are a true inspiration. Keep on keeping on.
Mary! You took that placement like a true boss!! I remember having to have one placed before and I cried and screamed like a baby! Love you both Mary & Peter ❤ feel better sweet pea
I pray that you will adjust and feel better very soon. I hope these feedings will give your little body the energy to fight hard. You are a trooper Mary and Peter, you are Mary's angel here on earth. I admire you both so much!
Another beautiful blanket at the start of this video. Mary, you are awesome! Placing the tube has to be so hard, but you not only did it, you recorded the process and THEN showed it. This is truly amazing. I bow to your superior-ness! You are a rock star because you didn't fight. I've seen hospital staff try to place an NG tube for my daughter and it was not fun. Personally I think the drugs were not strong enough, but maybe that was best for you personally.
Deborah Hartman yes I noticed too! Woa and my cat is puking! *pause video* Sorry that was gross hahaha. You would think I would of been on that end. lol
Every step you take to ensure that your body functions and thrives means you are a rock star! I had to have a j-tube placed following complications after bariatric surgery. I had a hard time adjusting to the rate of the feeding - which caused extreme nausea. Once they slowed the rate down significantly, the nausea improved. My feeding was run over 24 hours also. All of my meds had to be crushed or liquid and put through the feeding tube, two separate times the tube got clogged and had to be replaced. I'm thankful that I only had to have the tube in place for 3 months. I'm hoping your placement is short and helpful also. God bless you.
You are so strong! Even with all you are going through you are so uplifting and positive! I can't tell you how many times I've watched these vlogs and you've lifted up my day. Thank you Mary & Peter for sharing you're lives with all of us. You truly are an inspiration 💕
I am so glad you film things like the feeding tube situation it really brings the reality to life. You did a fantastic job Mary and Peter you are such a blessing to be right by her side. #relationshipgoals Love you guys!
Goodness gracious you are such a trooper!! I am so inspired by you! I have dealt with a lot of medical issues throughout my life (no comparison to what you've gone through) but you help me everyday to be stronger & to suck it up & keep moving. I can't begin to explain the impact you've had on my life. Thank you for sharing your life & your struggles & not censoring out the tough stuff. I'm sure it's incredibly hard to share these moments but it's so important & beneficial for me to see them. Thank you!!! Prayers & love! Xo
You're so strong! And Peter is so great and supportive. Your doctors seemed really wonderful too, which is a great help. Praying for you Hun!!! You're amazing.
your channel has grown so much. . I don't like to post. . I can't imagine the strength it took to continue to swallow that tube.. you are definitely a trouper.. your fight against your body .. I think might match the enemy we fight abroad. .
Oh Mary I cried! I know this is an older video but I'm watching all of them back to back. You are so strong! I wouldn't have been able to try the tube more than once. Amazing is what you are!
You are an amazing woman the things you share with us the good the bad and the gross just to let us be a part of your life in some small way you are truly an amazing couple...and Peter you are such an amazing husband you love her unconditionally it's so beautiful and Ollie is just awesome ❤❤
Thank you for the warning, I was eating and have the fear of throw up. Mary, you are a trooper that must have been so hard. You are an inspiration to many.
All I wanted to do was give you a big hug. You're such a trooper!!! Oliver was being such a good pup as well as Peter being an amazing husband. Beautiful family you guys are so great :)
Mary praying that you feel better soon, and you are so brave, going thru what are, it takes a string person and having Peter and Ollie Boy by your side is also a great help, take it easy and continue to get stronger everyday, and MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND KEEP YOU SAFE during your journey.
I love your new face accessory Mary!👍🏻❤️ I also love how you stay so positive through everything. Keep on fighting because when you hit rock bottom you could only go up!
Mary I am praying so hard for you..you really are an inspiration, I wish more people would have your out look on things..and be thankful for every day...you are also blessed to have Peter and Ollie...and there are many of us out here who love you and wish you well...better than well..
Mary you did an amazing job! Peter you were also amazing of course right in there knowing exactly what Mary needed and totally in-tune with practically being able to read her mind, getting her drinks and stuff while the team was able to place the NJ- Tube. I didn't realize how much you two use sign language or your own hand motions if needed, but that's awesome! I never really thought about while Mary is coughing, that she's unable to talk and communicating thru sign is perfect. So, If this causes irritation or they find out this is something Mary will need on a more regular or permanent basis, will they place a more permanent G or J tube into her stomach so she doesn't have to feel the tube tickling her throat? I'm sure that's been discussed already and (is completely none of my business just because I was curious for a similar situation of a friend), but like you said you'll deal with those issues if they pose a problem, and when and if it even actually happens like when Mary coughs... and she was worried it would move her tube out of place! I didn't quote you perfectly on that.. Again! You three are just the BEST team! Oliver was so good and patient to lay so still and by her side, help keeping Mary calm while she had the procedure done. I love that you share your journey with us! It's one that we are so blessed to on along with you! I just thought she did remarkably well for having to be awake for her procedures! Your strength is inspiring and you often don't get the easy road choices to just be knocked out to have one placed either! YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR! I know you always say "Do what you think you can do!" and that's what you did and do EVERYDAY! You're a breath of fresh air to all our lives showing us all how to live through trials with grace and it's certainly understandable to be emotional from time to time! I think I cry for you more than you cry for yourself watching these videos! I just pray this food can and will go to the nourishment of your body Sweet Mary! I pray it will restore your body back to a good and healthy weight and give you the energy and calories your body requires to get through each day with CF! I watch EVERYDAY, and just hushed my teenagers earlier because I wanted to see how the placement went! Praying for you both! Sweet dreams and hopefully tomorrow your throat is feeling much better and your tummy is feeling a little fuller! Goodnight! and we'll watch you tomorrow! 😂😂😂 That's my new watcher saying that Iike to say back to you when you end your daily videos!
ive had to have the NG TUBE before but it was a traumatic experience because they couldnt take there time putting it in like they did with mary my heart wasnt breatheing properly because there was yucky gunk in my lungs from a very bad infection so they had to hurry & get it cleared quickly before my heart stopped again ( it already stopped 2 times before ) so i couldnt see them putting it in but i could feel everything the poking & proding & me gagging cause i could feel the tube going down my throat & i didnt know what was happening at that time which was even worse & more frightning for me it took them about 25mins to get that NG TUBE in me & it was the most traumatizing experience ive had in the hospital & i hope it doesnt happen again ( luckily i only had that in for 1week & they then took it out - 2011 & ive been great ever since but i have had more surgeries since but luckily no NG TUBE ) wonderful job mary i understand how hard it is to get it in your a real trouper feel better how long does mary have to have the NG TUBE ???
♥️♥️♥️♥️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 - roses since you can't be sent anything mail. You're amazing Mary, and Peter, what a support! I'm going to buy from your store but I'll wait until you're home. And I hope it's soon! God bless!!
I don't know how I stumbled on your videos but I've watched many in the last couple of days. I'm not sure when I've seen a sweeter couple. What a wonderful example you both are. God bless you guys. Praying for lots and lots of healthy happy days ahead.
Oh Mary dear. You are right. It appears quite different than the n.g. tube. :-(. I can't believe you helped them out so well. Your courage amazes me. I am so sorry you have to have that tube in. But I pray that it helps you get the calories you need to fight. I am cheering for you! ❤️🤗🙏
aww mary you did a great job and peter what a wonderful supporting husband. watching you both make me so happy to see that the better for worse in sickness and health is still out there and the love you have for each other you can see it.
Clarissa Janes the NJ tube goes straight to her intestines so enzymes in her stomach are not necessary! That's why the doctors chose the NJ one for her :) hope this helps!
The formula was specially designed to be entered straight into the jeujunum. That means it has already been broken down the point where the small intestine receives it. The digestive enzymes she takes go to her stomach and begin the process of breaking down the proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Her formula has had that process done to it already. That is why people (with cf) with ng/g-tubes have to take enzymes, but people with nj/j-tubes do not.
Mary - you're a strong woman! Watching this brought back so many memories for me. Back in 2013 in hospital I had lots of failed attempts to get a NG tube put in - and it was so, so similar to what Mary had to go through there. In the end I had an NJ tube fitted radiologically whilst being sedated. It came out at some point, so a new one had to be inserted similarly. In the end I had it in for about two and a half months, most of the time running 24/7, but the last month was just night feeds. It all looks so similar. The pumps, the way to flush the tube, etc. etc. Strong, powerful memories.
Mary you are one incredible and brave woman! I really admire how you handle yourself in what must be a frightening and uncomfortable situation, but you are calm, poised and just get on with what has to be done. Just amazing! And Peter watching how you love and support your beautiful wife is so refreshing. You are both such inspirational people and I wish nothing but a future filled with good health, happiness and of course endless love ❤
Mary..God bless you, Sweetheart. And Peter and Ollie, too. The love between you all is beautiful. It was sweet to see you grabbing Peter's arm and hugging Ollie with your leg. Hope this tube is a great success for you. Love and hugs to you both.
This video made me cry. I just wanted to come give you a huge hug when you were crying and getting sick. You just sound so uncomfortable, which is so understandable. Much love and many prayers to you! ❤️
You did do amazing with the situation you were in and Peter did great helping! Thank you for showing us things that others normally wouldn't. I would have never known about these things and I now know what people go through to get them. It is eye opening and I appreciate the chance to learn new things.
Mary you are such an inspiration. even through times that are crazy tough you are positive, smiling, and grateful. I'm at home recovering from spine surgery for 6 weeks. I am 27 years old and never thought I'd have a back as bad as I do. hoping to have some relief in the next few weeks for pain that has been happening for the past 10 years. you keep me motivated and show me how grateful I need to be for everything I have. thank you for that. you are amazing. much love to you!

Jessie Scribbles what exactly is the difference between the two?
I'm one of those parents NG\NJ tubes are difficult even more so when your kid doesn't understand and keeps pulling it out. My daughter had a G tube for 3 years and now has a GJ.
a NG tube only goes to the stomach, while a NJ tube goes into the small intestines.

Is she still doing ok
You're a trooper! That must be so terribly hard!!
I can't agree more.. !! Been praying for her.. just hard to watch her like this. :(
I fully agree and realised again how much I LOVE to hear Mary sing. You've got such a beautiful voice! Have a speedy recovery and a quick adaptation to the tube. @Peter: You are as much a trooper as Mary is, because of your support! Kudos to the both of you. 👍
Marlissa Cunningham I almost puked with her
My thoughts as well. I'm praying for you Mary and Peter.
Soooo sweet.
you are seriously a rock star, Mary! I'm beyond impressed!
Much love to you XOXO - Lauren
you are awesome!! I would have been bawling like a baby after the first attempt. Peter, you were amazing too. Wishing you rest and nourishment!
You're so awesome Mary, I'm so sorry that you have to go through all this. You looked so sad a worn out, I just want to reach through the screen and hug you. Hope you're feeling better soon and get used to the feeding tube xx
Mary you are a rock star indeed and Peter is an amazing support! You two are lucky to have each other and we are lucky to have you both!! :)
Wow, Mary and Peter, you two are such a great example of the ultimate teamwork fuelled by love 💐💝
You can do it Mary, you're like the little engine that could and just like Dory just keep swimming.
Vomit can trigger panic attacks for me so I appreciate being able to skip that.
horsegirly5 yes same!
Mary you did great with the NJ Tube placement. Peter your truly amazing with Mary I wished there were more people like you in this world. Good Boy Ollie. Thank u for sharing that experience with us. Prayers for Mary. Hugs
Praying this works out for you Mary! I would've been vomiting worse. I can't even brush my teeth without gagging!!!
Louise Sproul me too
I know. It feels like a heavy, coughy, thud at the back of your throat and you are a trooper! SO proud of you. dear Mary! You are brave to go through what you must and you face it all with such courage and bounce back with joy. Beautiful
I cried on this I am glad all went ok I feel for you Mary.BIG HUGS!!!!!! Peter you are an amazing husband.
Thank you.
Great job Mary! Peter & Ollie are such rocks for being there for you. That's a good combo of formula for you.
Faith Hope Love good question
I was wondering the same
Faith Hope Love that is a really good question.
She actually has a cartridge on her feeding tube that gives her the enzymes throughout the day
My cousin had a NJ tube for a few years and it made the world of difference. You did a great job and I can't imagine going through that! Sending love!
Oh Mary, my heart goes out to you and Peter. I hope these feeds will help you recover a bit of your strength.
So glad Mary's getting sustenance so brave xx Peter your just amazing
You are such an inspirational couple! And Oliver is such a well trained companion. Sending you all cosmic hugs of comfort.
Thinking and praying for you, Mary. Praying that you do not need this tube in for too long. GOD BLESS! MUCH LOVE! -Quincey
I pray that you will adjust and feel better very soon. I hope these feedings will give your little body the energy to fight hard. You are a trooper Mary and Peter, you are Mary's angel here on earth. I admire you both so much!
What a couple of champions! Prayers for speedy acceptance of this necessary accessory going up from Houston 💞💞💞
I have so much more compassion for others now because you have chosen to share your experiences with CF. Thank you.
How awful. So amazed by your everyday positivity x
btw thanks for the throw up warning, i really appreciate it. I have a phobia
Lizzie R m
Praying that the pain goes away quickly. What a brave woman you have been. I hope you take the time to rest and you will heal better.
Okay so is it just me or does Oliver look like a puppy version of Peter?
Jack Grassi he does 😍
Lol yeah 😂
Another beautiful blanket at the start of this video.
Mary, you are awesome! Placing the tube has to be so hard, but you not only did it, you recorded the process and THEN showed it. This is truly amazing. I bow to your superior-ness!
You are a rock star because you didn't fight. I've seen hospital staff try to place an NG tube for my daughter and it was not fun.
Personally I think the drugs were not strong enough, but maybe that was best for you personally.
So sorry Mary. Oliver knew but knew Peter was there. Love you guys.
God bless you.
ill pray for u mary! i have gastroparesis and had nj tube but i stilll threw it up.. so i got a j tube.
Yoon523 I've gastroparesis too - looking at J as a long term option right now.
You are so strong! Even with all you are going through you are so uplifting and positive! I can't tell you how many times I've watched these vlogs and you've lifted up my day. Thank you Mary & Peter for sharing you're lives with all of us. You truly are an inspiration 💕
You did such a good job!! Praying for it to be sucessful!
I am so glad you film things like the feeding tube situation it really brings the reality to life. You did a fantastic job Mary and Peter you are such a blessing to be right by her side. #relationshipgoals Love you guys!
Now you can sing "I have a tube in my nose vs a needle in my chest"😮
Goodness gracious you are such a trooper!! I am so inspired by you! I have dealt with a lot of medical issues throughout my life (no comparison to what you've gone through) but you help me everyday to be stronger & to suck it up & keep moving. I can't begin to explain the impact you've had on my life. Thank you for sharing your life & your struggles & not censoring out the tough stuff. I'm sure it's incredibly hard to share these moments but it's so important & beneficial for me to see them. Thank you!!! Prayers & love! Xo
I've been tubed for swallow studies. It's awful. You did great Mary:)
Your attitude and grace during this difficult placement is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journey💖
Oh, Mary, I am so proud of you! Not sure I could of done it as well, you really are a rock star!
Thank you for the warning, I was eating and have the fear of throw up. Mary, you are a trooper that must have been so hard. You are an inspiration to many.
I'm in tears watching this whole tube thing.
All I wanted to do was give you a big hug. You're such a trooper!!! Oliver was being such a good pup as well as Peter being an amazing husband.
Beautiful family you guys are so great :)
Peter is amazing for being by your side.
Amazing young woman you are. You and your sweet little family are a wonderful example of love and patience. Prayers for you always.
Poor mary.. but you did it, you can be incredibly proud of yourself beautiful!! Cheering for ya guys❤ greetings from switzerland 🇨🇭🏔
Ohhhh...all I kept thinking was "Poor baby"...Peter and you are so blessed to have one another. Many blessings to you both and always in my prayers.
ive had to have the NG TUBE before
but it was a traumatic experience because they couldnt take there time putting it in like they did with mary
my heart wasnt breatheing properly because there was yucky gunk in my lungs from a very bad infection so they had to hurry & get it cleared quickly before my heart stopped again ( it already stopped 2 times before )
so i couldnt see them putting it in but i could feel everything
the poking & proding & me gagging cause i could feel the tube going down my throat & i didnt know what was happening at that time which was even worse & more frightning for me
it took them about 25mins to get that NG TUBE in me & it was the most traumatizing experience ive had in the hospital & i hope it doesnt happen again
( luckily i only had that in for 1week & they then took it out - 2011 & ive been great ever since but i have had more surgeries since but luckily no NG TUBE )
wonderful job mary i understand how hard it is to get it in your a real trouper
feel better
how long does mary have to have the NG TUBE ???
You are amazing Mary and Peter and Ollie are the greatest supporters of her!!! You guys are loved by so many people.
O Mary I just don't know what to say, but I do know you are my hero. Peter and Ollie you are too!
you are both in my heart. sending healing and loving thoughts to all 3 of you.
Oh Mary dear. You are right. It appears quite different than the n.g. tube. :-(. I can't believe you helped them out so well. Your courage amazes me. I am so sorry you have to have that tube in. But I pray that it helps you get the calories you need to fight. I am cheering for you! ❤️🤗🙏
aww mary you did a great job and peter what a wonderful supporting husband. watching you both make me so happy to see that the better for worse in sickness and health is still out there and the love you have for each other you can see it.
how does the NJ tube work in terms of needing enzymes to eat...
Clarissa Janes the NJ tube goes straight to her intestines so enzymes in her stomach are not necessary! That's why the doctors chose the NJ one for her :) hope this helps!
Clarissa Janes good question
The formula was specially designed to be entered straight into the jeujunum. That means it has already been broken down the point where the small intestine receives it. The digestive enzymes she takes go to her stomach and begin the process of breaking down the proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Her formula has had that process done to it already. That is why people (with cf) with ng/g-tubes have to take enzymes, but people with nj/j-tubes do not.
Mary, I really don`t know where you get your strength to overcome all of these obstacles. You truly are a super star. I am praying for you.
u did it so proud of u Mary xx
Mary - you're a strong woman! Watching this brought back so many memories for me. Back in 2013 in hospital I had lots of failed attempts to get a NG tube put in - and it was so, so similar to what Mary had to go through there. In the end I had an NJ tube fitted radiologically whilst being sedated. It came out at some point, so a new one had to be inserted similarly. In the end I had it in for about two and a half months, most of the time running 24/7, but the last month was just night feeds. It all looks so similar. The pumps, the way to flush the tube, etc. etc. Strong, powerful memories.
Hey to my favorite all star and rock star care taker.
Facebook live tomorrow if Mary is feeling up to it?
Mary you are one incredible and brave woman! I really admire how you handle yourself in what must be a frightening and uncomfortable situation, but you are calm, poised and just get on with what has to be done. Just amazing! And Peter watching how you love and support your beautiful wife is so refreshing. You are both such inspirational people and I wish nothing but a future filled with good health, happiness and of course endless love ❤
Mary, do you know much sign language? I thought I saw you sign "yes" to Peter. It seems like it would be useful to learn for harder lung days.
Krista Says Things She's mentioned she knows a little
Mary..God bless you, Sweetheart. And Peter and Ollie, too. The love between you all is beautiful. It was sweet to see you grabbing Peter's arm and hugging Ollie with your leg. Hope this tube is a great success for you. Love and hugs to you both.
praying for you mary ❤
Delaney Wright Me too Mary. Stay strong ✌ ❤ ✌ ❤❤❤
you are SO strong Mary! Peter you rock as a husband &support system. I wish you both the best & that the NJ tube helps Mary gain strength.
I am so sorry Mary. That was hard to watch.
It was hard to watch
Mary, It breaks my heart to see you have to go through so much, why do bad things happen to such good people. Mary you are such an inspiration
I was just wondering how you were Mary . Oh sweety you must be worn out, throwing up is dreadful at the best of times ... Rest sweety
Mary, you were one tough cookie ! In this case they are the best ! Prayers for successful progress 🙏🏻👍🏻❣
This video made me cry. I just wanted to come give you a huge hug when you were crying and getting sick. You just sound so uncomfortable, which is so understandable. Much love and many prayers to you! ❤️
The tube stops moving so much after your body puts mucous around it. Maybe a couple days, if I remember correctly. Hang in there!
You did do amazing with the situation you were in and Peter did great helping! Thank you for showing us things that others normally wouldn't. I would have never known about these things and I now know what people go through to get them. It is eye opening and I appreciate the chance to learn new things.
One day I hope I can find someone who loves me as much as peter love Mary ❤️ like actual goals
