Awesome stuff. I carry a trp now. I’ve carried the Glock 22 and I went to the 19. I’m in my 16th year of being a deputy sheriff. That TRP is Magic. A old retiree was at the range. He cones down all the time. He said I see you got you a 1911. I said yes sir. I know not as many rounds as the Glock. He said if you can hit your target you don’t need 15 rounds. Lol anyway great channel.
Another great video! This is feeding my interest and anticipation for my first STI 2011. I am on the wait list as of 10/7. Can't hardly wait. Keep up the interesting and honest content!
How is there less than 3k followers still? That’s insanity! Another great video
I have and older model Hextac 4.0 in 45. Have had it for years. And given me flawless service. Very solid platform. Have a 5.0 Tactical as well for the range and winter EDC.
My agency would rather let a rookie with use of force issues ride a dinosaur on patrol than an officer purchase their own duty pistol.
DrifterBlog That’s very unfortunate, I’m sorry to hear that.
The white shirts have their own ideas. Don’t give up.
Thanks for field testing and sharing your results! Any interest in doing a comparison of the Staccato to the CZ DWX when it's released?
H3artl3ssN00b I’ll look at it at SHOT. I don’t see the DWX fulfilling a service pistol role, and since I buy all my test items I weigh very carefully what I test.
Thanks for the honest review! the "excuses for malfunctions" because of $$ spent has been, IME, a popular theme for custom 1911/2011s.
I really appreciate and enjoy your channel and content. I have ordered a STI Staccato P Duo a couple of weeks ago. I plan on mounting a Trijicon RMR on it and wanted to get your advice on which version of RMR you recommend, 3.5 or 6 moa and secondly would you recommend the mounting plate provided by STI or CH precision? I also understand that you sell the co-whiteness front sight for the CH precision rear sight mounting plate. What is the part number, availability and cost? Thanks again for the GREAT content on the 2011 platform 👍
Great info, thanks. Looking forward to the next video
Great pistol...ranks right up there with Wilson’s 2011, at half the cost!
“Thirty of you.” 😂
Convert money to noise... that's funny
Have you seen the CZ 75/1911 hybrid coming from CZ yet? It will be that or the Staccato for me next year.
Mr. Spectaculous Yes. Pls scroll for my reply to same question.
Nice! My order is placed at Dawson for the "P" Duo as of 10/24/19, I am 6th in line. I waited long enough so now they are coming through with the star on the grip. To me it looks much more ergonomic, and also, much more "P" professional. Thank you for the 2500 round update, (I'm still all in) much appreciated.
I experienced about three over inserted magazines on emergency reloads using the 20rd magazines. Two of which were difficult and would not release with the slide stop but would by sling shot. The other would not release at all and I had to forcefully rip the mag out. All with the same mag. Any ideas? This is on a Staccato P Duo with new gen 2 magazines.
I think I figured it out. I must be loading my mags with my thumb still depressing the mag release. I have a ding in my ejector where the left mag feed lip binded with the extractor.
@@basketweave_101 The over-insertion of 21 rd mags on slide lock is caused by a combo of the Staccato P mag well and base pads. STI is working on re-designing the base pad to prevent it and will theoretically replace those in question. It is specific to the Staccato P and not the DVC 3-Gun which has a different mag well.
What holsters worked and which didn’t?
The info helps me weigh alternatives.
What was the cleaning schedule during this time?
I cleaned it after each range session as I was carrying it and don't like carrying dirty guns. Each range session was 400-700 rds. You can also check out this video for maintenance info: ua-cam.com/video/TbvrvAEjDrw/v-deo.html
how accurate you like this 4.15 P?
Does anyone know if there's a military/LE discount.. and what is it
1850 instead of 2000 Last I checked
Can i ask I'm deciding between staccato C2 and the STACCATO P DUO I'm not that carrying guy just sport fan but in Puerto Rico now is more easy to carry the P or the DUO it will better for me right occasionally carry person? Thanks in advance 🙏
Hey man good stuff keep the videos coming
What are your thoughts on using fibre optic front sights on a duty gun - as opposed to a trijicon HD.?
It's all I'll use at this point. Fiber is much easier to see in ambient light, and just because tritium glows in the dark doesn't mean you can ID a threat. You need white light for that....and at that point tritium washes out.
@@108Performance makes sense. Thanks. I'm trying to decide on a custom G34 or Staccato P for three gun matches. It's been several years since I carried a 1911 but I have several and am comfortable with them. Decision points relate to my carrying Glocks for the past 15 years. I'm very comfortable with them.
Great review man!
New subscriber. I took a 10-8 1911 class from you AZ a few years back. Looking forward to more rounds down range in the STI Staccato P and really looking forward to what products you develop for the pistol. I'm hoping its a solid high visibility night front sight, in comparison to the Trijicon HD Yellow front, :-)
Where do you find the factory gen 2 mags in black?
The best sources for STI mags are 1911store.com and Dawson Precision.
Thanks for the video, provided the info I needed.
Thank you for the t&e!
Now you just need to come out to WA so I can try it
Essa STI é um sonho de consumo 👏👏
The 2011 content is great. thanks.
Your favorite staccato? XC? XL? P duo
P DUO, 2019.
Will this pistol handle 9mm major?
Fugu_Face Sr. I think so but you really should contact the factory for specifics.
@@108Performance - Thanks for the reply!! I'll follow up with the STI guys.
So do you think it is worth the money?
MFinGonzo If you look carefully at the $1500-2000 bracket, the Staccato P is an excellent deal - all machined parts, match fit slide/frame/barrel. A lot of the other offerings in that bracket use cast and MIM parts and do not feature actual fit slide/frame/bbl (they’re drop together parts).
@@108Performance i bought one between when i asked and now lol. I like it even though it beats my thumb up a bit
