Hai Melanie, I like your videocasts a lot. They are not too short and not too long, they are interesting and to the point, since I discovered them about four months ago I watch them every week. Thank you!
Great free patterns! I love those Debutante socks, too. The way that cable winds over the top of the foot is charming. Your podcast always has such great information. I'm glad I found it.
I agree about using the drops grey to hold things together. It makes it look like a cohesive blanket and not just a scrappy project. I think it is going to be gorgeous.
Thanks again Melanie for a really interesting podcast and love your Ginny cardigan. I visited Amsterdam just before Christmas on a weekend break with my daughter. We had a super weekend and of course i visited Stephen and Penelopes. Well you can't go away as a knitter and not find a yarn store. I am knitting the Koivua sweater at the moment and it's looking lovely. Also want to knit a cowl so thanks for the ideas and suggestions on free patterns.Look forward as always to your next podcast and sending best wishes to you for a good year ahead.
Thanks for the free Ravelry finds. I did spend too much money last year on patterns (hope I make them all) and yarn so it's nice to have some no pressure patterns waiting. Love your knitting skills, you make great stuff.
I have joined the Wet Coast Wools Bingo knitting. They have specific general categories that you knit for each square. It is a year long knit along. I have just started but think I will really enjoy it. Two squares are choose your own challenge.
Love your podcast. And the hidden gems of Ravelry is really great. I just finished the mittens “flowers and diamonds” - the designer have some more free mittens patterns, which I also have knitted. There are very interesting and fun to knit.
I love both of the cardigans you have made. The picture behind you is absolutely beautiful, did you paint it yourself. Happy new year to you and all your family,, have a really good one. 🧶🧶🧶💞💞💞
NOW I have to make the Ginny Cardigan!! Lol! Actually I do want to make the Arboreal and steek it like yours. My yarn is handspun yarn in a heavy worsted, maybe close to Lopi. My guage swatch is 16x21. (Pattern calls for DK, guage 20x28) You did it in Lopi. Can you help me decide if I can make it with my yarn? I can't really go down any needle size, (its pretty dense as it is). Should I go down in sweater size? Please let me know since I'm dying to use my yarn. I trust your opinion since everything you knit is pretty amazing!
I wouldn't recommend going down a needle size if you don't like the fabric it will make. I seem to remember making the size M instead of an L or XL, so I think making a smaller size shouldn't be a problem. Also; there is a bit more room for error with a cardigan I find. The only thing that really needs to fit are your arms!
Braid And Tinker thank you so much! I’ve been afraid to put in the time and effort if it didn’t work out...I’ll go down 1 or 2 sizes. Didn’t know if there was a specific formula between garment size and # of stitches bigger than gauge. (If that makes sense). Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@onesweetlife2469 What you can do is check the pattern for the circumference for the size you want. And by dividing it by 10 (for your 10 x 10 swatch), you can figure out how many stitches are in the pattern circumference. You can then check how many stitches are in your 10x10 swatch. You could also try and just knit big swatch with only the circumference stitches in your main body colour and make it 2/3 cm's long. That way you will quickly see if your sweater is going to be wide enough.

Thank you Joukje! I probably couldn't make them longer if I tried. I'm just too Dutch and like to get straight to the point. 😂
@@BraidAndTinker Haha, Would it be the Dutch way that I recognize and appreciate? 😂
I was just thinking about patterns to use when I practice lace stitches. Will definitely try something like the set of dishcloths.

Thank Pamela. That is so nice to hear ☺️
Love your podcast and your gentle and informative style.

Thank you Paula :)
Thanks a lot and have a good and healthy new year! For you and your family!!
A good year to you too Kaete!
I would love it if you could show us how you turn the sock snake into a pair of socks 🙏
I have had more questions about this, so I’ll try and make a video when I have time! 💕✨
Usually when I do a stretchy bind off I don’t make the yarn over for every stitch, I do it every other stitch. It seems to work better.
This is super interesting Diane, thank you for sharing, I’m going to try this out soon!
Thanks for sharing the lovely bundle!
Thank you for the free pattern suggestions. I love the first 2 cowls especially.
Recently discovered your podcast and it’s one of my favorites! Especially love the “hidden gems of Ravelry”, so good!
Thank you Ashley, I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
I love perusing your bundels!!

Thank you Sharon, wishing you a good 2020 too!
Finull + mohair; I would never have thought of that. Looks super comfy !
I just add mohair to everything at the moment 😂

I'm going to look into this, because it sounds like something I would like to join!
Thanks for pointing out some interesting free patterns to try!
Wow you finished so fast! I was one of the test knitters for that cardigan and its such a good every day piece.
I finished fast, but I also skipped half of the pattern and did my own thing 😅
Great freebies xx

If you mean the picture with the flowers, that's just a poster I got last year. I'm not that good of an artist unfortunatley 😂.
Braid And Tinker , you could of told a little white lie ( lol ) just kidding. It is a beautiful poster. 🧶🧶🧶💞💞💞
Thank you for the Ravelry pattern. I've been knitting away on Shawl Ministry, and it's time for a little something for me to knit, in between.
It's always good to have a little bit of choice in projects.
What podcast did you say was hosting the sock MAL from stash?
Ciasbod Podcast!
