I love how direct and fast u made this i watched three videos before this and they wernt as clear and direct as u were i love it and thank u for the help ❤
If you soak items in soda ash first the colors will hopefully be more vibrant and last longer..and you can use borax..or make your own. Thanks for the video!
Absolutely . We just bought more this week so we can do a new set. This was over a year ago and the younger kids outgrew these . They are excited to make A new one 😊
They didn't have the tie dye in the DT here. I looked for it this afternoon. Hope they get it in. I'd love to tie dye something.. a sun dress maybe. Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend. Love and blessings ❣️
I hope you get the tie dye at your store . They were closer to the buttons in the craft aisle then the paint ( which was weird lol) a sun dress would be amazing. 😁😁Hobby Lobby sells draw string backpacks that are off white, they are like $2.99 for a full sized backpack. Those would make a cute tie dye project too.
I love to tie dye and you know I've done alot at my age. The girls did a great job!! It seems like if you use the Rit dye to tye dye, that salt is somehow involved in the rinse to keep the color darker. I have an old box of purple Rit dye that I would like to use for Sarah a shirt or socks maybe. These at the DT look fun. Thanks Rebecca!!❤
@@rebeccastuthecrew That used to be all we used when you tie dye. These kits are newer to me Rebecca. That way you choose the colors. Be careful when using them and read all the instructions before you open that dye pack if you get the boxes of powder or the bottles of liquid concentrated dye.❤
Could be your laundry detergent is not gentle enough. Some have oxidizers in them which will cause fading. I noticed Joann Fabrics is selling a liquid soap called Orvus meant to be used for washing quilts. I’ve used it myself for washing hand stenciled apparel and had no problems with colors fading. The shirts turned out great! 👍🏼 I love tie dye still, as old as I am. I hope your girls will give this another try on 100% cotton shirts and see what happens. TFS. 😃
This Dollar Tree is in Denton county. I live in DFW area NE Texas. It's about a 30 minute drive but this particular DT is worth the trip every time. I find the best stuff at this store. I wish the ones that were a mile away were this great...it would save me some gas mileage lol.

Vinegar helps set color. May try that if you do again.
Thank you for the Tip Mary. We do Tie dye probably once a year so I will try the vinegar next time :)

I never thought to use those for tie dye. That would be a great one to use because of how vivid the colors would be 😁👍🏼

Next time try using soda ash. For some reason it seems to help with the dying. They still turned out great without it.
Thank you! I’ve heard that before , where do you get the soda ash?
Good ol’ Walmart lol
do u think hand washing with dawn dish soap and hang dryin will work??
Tfs good video 🤗🤗🤗🤗
