  • Hey there everybody!
So this video will show you how to manipulate your fudge in a pan, as opposed to a marble slab (which is my preference). It’s all about when the fudge loses its gloss, and sometimes you really have to be quick about it! As you will see in the video!..lol
This is my Grandma Hazel’s vanilla fudge recipe…and if you want to turn it to peanut butter, just add a big dollap like I did. 😁
    Vanilla Fudge:
    1 3/4 cup milk
    3 cups sugar
    1/2 stick of butter
    2 Tbsp corn syrup
    1-2 tsp vanilla
    #howtomakecreamyfudge #oldfashionedfudgerecipe
    #vanillafudge #peanutbutterfudge
    #creamyfudgerecipe

Before you start judging, some of you might think this was a failure. She is correct about getting it into the pan sooner. But the taste is out of this world. This is a success. Don't knock this until you try it. Presentation is important and now you know what to do and not do...but when you taste this...you don't remember what it looked like, you want the recipe to create it. This video is more helpful to those who have not had the experience of making these old recipes. Because when you make a mistake nobody is there to show you what went wrong. I recently just made this same mistake and didn't know what I did wrong, but the fudge it self is out of this world. I pressed it down and nobody will know any different. And this msg is for Ms, Becky... Thank you for all your instructions. After a lot of research and I hope this helps you when you explain your method... what I think you were trying to explain is... don't stir finished recipe before 120 degrees and it's to late if you wait past 110 degrees. And for Ms. Becky's daughter... smile, you don't know how fortunate you are to have a mom who want's to share this with you. But someday you will. She is very proud of you.

It's pretty amazing to watch this process... especially prepared right in the pot. It's incredible how fine the timing is! I know it didn't go exactly as planned, but heck, that's such an important lesson to learn. If I go making fudge like this, you know I'm going to be paying attention to my timing! Thank you so much for this fantastic demonstration!

“BECKY IN THE KITCHEN “ do you put the wood spoon on top of the pan so it won’t boil over????

    • @BeckyIntheKitchen
      @BeckyIntheKitchen  3 роки тому +1

I’ve heard that is supposed to hinder boil over..lol

@@BeckyIntheKitchen it does work for pastas . I do it all the time.
But sometimes you have to us more than one spoon..
I think the theory behind that is when the bubbles come in contact with you wood it more less suffocates them.
I just thought maybe that is why you put “your’ wooden spoon across your pan as well!!!💕💕💕😂😂
