- A looped version of Caius's Theme. All rights go to Square Enix. This is my first video and I hope you like it.

Comparison to Sephiroth, Sephiroth's theme sounds as if someone or something is coming to haunt you down and take you down, But Caiu's theme, has that "Fighting me is Futile, You, This world, Everyone, WILL PERISH! a Theme of Desperation where Misery,sorrow & pain will be delivered..Perfect for Caius!

It's strange how this song is so calm, but at the same time has such intensity to it.
I think Caius and Sephiroth would work together for a goal rather than fight.
Caius would only attack sephiroth if he threatened Yuel. And Sephioth wouldn't attack Caius or Yuel unless they got in his way. Cannon or not, in dissidia Sepheroth would turn on his own allies if they got in his way. So Caius would be no different.
Caius wants to kill etro and sepheroth wants to end all life. Life does end if etro is killed so they would have a common interest.
Birth ends if Etro is killed, since her lifeblood is the font from which human souls are born. Life itself doesn't end. In any case, it was Etro and, in turn, Lightning that brought humanity into the conflict; before Lightning sent Noel and Mog to the past, Valhalla essentially only existed at the end of time, where Caius traveled simply by existing eternally. The timeline collapsed on itself and the paradoxes were born when Noel visited Serah in New Bodhum.
Idk about that, Sephiroth has issues with the rest of humanity, and see's himself and Jenova the only 2 worth of living in the world. Caius only cares about Yuel, and I don't think he'd trust him to not harm her. Sephiroth plans to absorb all souls and become a god, while Caius want's to save Yuel's soul, so I don't really think it would work out between them.
Caius can destroy Sephiroth without batting an eyelash. Just throwing that out there. They wouldn't get along that well. Sephiroth would be taken down.
Thunder Hawke the only thing ive seen caius do is stop time...thats about it and ultimecia can do that better..

Caius is a unique villain in the Final Fantasy series.
He does not want to destroy the world for reasons of normal villains, he wants to put a stop to the suffering he and Yuel suffer.
This theme is a mirror to such feelings and the way that Caius is trying to use to break this vicious circle.
I like that he is an antivillain for that matter.
Seriously guys, Caius is stronger then Sephiroth. It doesn't make Sephiroth a worse villain or Caius a better one, its simply the case then the XIII protagonists fight stronger foes then Cloud or Zack. To quote Monokuma "Like a punk anime protagonist trying to fight a super power anime protagonist. Good as he is, he has no chance".
Not to mention Caius is immortal. Even killing his heart of chaos didn't kill him.

I haven't played dissidia at all but I have played 13-2. While my opinion stands on that game as not being so thrilling, Caius was in fact a magnificent character design. His theme even better. Someone got Yahtzee in Squeenix JP HQ.

I love the calming tranquility phases at around 3.22 , the uplifting sweep at 3.40 ,followed by the Godly reprieve which then melds into the overarching complete destruction melodies.
Caius would be entertained when he meets Ultimecia...

Caius needs to be a optional super boss in a kingdom hearts game. He would be extremely difficult imo

That is a paradoxical existence. The Caius that died in Valhalla was the real Caius. The one we see in the Secret Ending is a paradox.

The second battle with Chaos Bahamut in the DLC is backed by "Heart of Chaos" the theme that plays when you fight Caius on Valhalla's shores.

Cloudburst with its Friendly Fire feral link saved my ass multiple time in this game.
When I herd this playing in the credits of FF 13-2 after seeing that ending the first time, it felt more like a permanent game over then beating the game. Even after beating Requiem of the Goddess hearing it in the credits again still felt like a game over. Especially if you saw the 100% comoleation cutscean after the credits.

Cloudburst was my only RAV during the later half of the game and for the highest level monster battles (for the full bestiary, Raspatil being the hardest). Its Feral Link buffs your party and heals them so I found it extremely useful if i couldn't switch to a MED in time. Also had Cactuar as my COM and and SEN monster for insta tortoise lol. Just talking about it now is making me want to go play it XD
I was pretty eager in this fight. It took me awhile to figure out what paradigms to use 'cause it was my first fight against Caius with the Paradox scope active. and it was by far the hardest imo

The only thing Caius's theme doesn't have that OWA does have is the irreplaceable high point that we all know and love in it. As far as an overall tone and theme, this works better. Both have their merits.

Well, it was too late... 2nd try I saw he had Reraise and I thought »What am I doing here?«, but when the fight still ended I was oooh, so relieved!

he has the best timing for that spell and chain break he handed me my ass on 12 silver platters when battled him with just serah with the paradox scope activated

Dear Caius. I hope Square makes the right choice and makes you the main villain of Lighting Returns. If not the main villain then one of the main antagonists at least. I hope the teaser on Spember first will give us more details about the new game's story. Also, your coments are hilarious.

Actually it is because he died in Valhalla where the line between life and death is almost nonexistent, the Goddess's death did allow the Chaos to enter the Visible Realm and turn it into another Valhalla, blurring the line between life and death there too, which is what he wanted since as the line is blurred Yeul cannot really die anymore. Although the fact that he can still control Chaos in the secret ending raises some questions as the only reason he could was because Etro's heart it in his
@keyblademaster333 sure thing. i permit you to share my looped version to your channel if you want to. the thing is in your version, you gave away the part where you want to loop. you have to find part of the song where it can be mixed in sync and would sound like you wouldn't notice it easily. like mine, you can notice where i looped it? if you want looped versions, keep this advice in my mind in your future videos. i hope this helps :)

Yeah, the buffs include STR up, MAG up, DEF up, and (most annoyingly) REGEN. I think the buff HASTE appears during the final two encounters.
no that's one of caius's special abilities. he uses it to buff himself when his hp is low.
We can only wait for the final battle to come. And see what the goddess Muin will do, now that the invisible world is exposed and Etro is no more.
